This is something I just read in the thread about CoS's new YouTube channel...

YouTube has some explaining to do...

I haven't read the whole thread (tl;dr etc) but someone asked me to hit up my connection at YouTube. I was outed by an admitted CO$ account that was subsequently b&, if the same YouTube TOS are applied equally since WBM isn't allowed back for 'violations', it should follow that the CO$ should not be allowed to create another account.

Anyway, here's my email (edited here for brevity).

I understand that Mark Bunker's xenutv1 account was recently suspended per YouTube's TOS policy that a video director who has previously had videos removed can no longer post on YouTube.

"People complained to YouTube about my account. YouTube got so much pressure that they called me to explain the situation. They told me because my first account was canceled I am not supposed to have had a second account."

By the same logic, the Scientology YouTube account should be suspended since on March 12, 2008, they posted three videos of myself and two other 'Anonymous' members, violating our privacy by 'exposing' our true identities and libelling us as "masked terrorists" and accessories to alleged criminal acts perpetrated by Anonymous.

On the Scientology owned and run site Religious Freedom Watch, they further promoted these videos (Anonymous - Hate Crimes & Terrorism Directed at Scientology | Religious Freedom Watch) and claimed responsibility when reached for comment by the New York Post:

"A spokesperson for the Church of Scientology said, "We absolutely made the videos."

"We have researchers that have found these men. When you get death threats and bomb threats directly going after the church, we don't take it lightly."

The videos were first posted under the YouTube Channel "AnonymousFacts" (http://www.youtube.com/user/AnonymousFacts) which "exposed him (me) as a member of a criminal organization". It was later mirrored on several YouTube sites (and numerous others) internationally and posted as 'news stories' on such as digg.

We original three, Gareth "Ath" Cales -who was also 'exposed' via YouTube (http://panoramaviews.blogspot.com/20...h-cales.html)- and several others not defamed directly by YouTube are currently exploring a class action suit against the 'church' of Scientology.

This may or may not involve YouTube legal with regards to the subpoenaing of your records for the IP's of all the Scientology run accounts involved in the smear campaign however, in the meantime we would like to address the seeming double standard being applied to Mr Bunker's account when Scientology clearly violated your TOS in March and are being allowed to continue on YouTube.

Apart from the obvious PR flap that Anonymous (and I do not speak for Anonymous here) will exploit from the former -especially considering Google's corporate credo is "Don't Be Evil"-, if Scientology's account is not suspended or xenutv1 allowed to return it will just add fuel to the fire.

I also propose that WBM/Anon start a xenutv1 channel on Google videos (an anti-YouTube campaign would also be lulz).

Although Google owns YouTube, the latter is 99% autonomous. Google (and their "Don't Be Evil!" mantra) needs a wake-up call that their adopted child, YouTube, is in bed with evil incarnate. So do the e-press -like Wired and Slashdot.
