SO I've had a few days to reflect on this issue and I have some suggestions for Mr. Bunker.

We know know that the root of the issue is some sort of "flag" on your initial account (I wont get tin foil hatty and assume that youtubes statement about viacom being the reason). This flag carried over to your new account and although this doesn't make much sense I'll again assume is youtube carrying out some sort of coporate policy.

So on to my suggestions, if the teaser for Jason Beghe's interview got over 500k hits in a matter of days we know this is hot stuff. You have the ultimate leverage so why not use it.

There are a few other online video hosting / streaming sites on the net. Give them a direct call find one that's going to insure it won't get yanked and announce it via press releases / interviews that you are not going to host it with youtube but with company Y due to googles shoddy policies and that you also encourage people to stop viewing and hosting youtubes until they sort their issues out.

This all seems rather simple to me and dilivers maximum damage should there actually be tinfoil hattery occuring and if not it ensures the interview gets out there with maximum efficiency.

That is unless you just want to create drama (which is already any where) and continue to perpetuate such drama. If so disregard this.

the xenutv1 channel was always vulnerable to suspension. it simply needed to be reported.

good ideas, but the preferable outcome is for it to get resolved as YT essentially holds a monopoly on audience

it's not about drama, it's about a legitimate voice , in the widest market.

WBM/youtube, just need to reach an agreement, and the status quo is restored.

The two are not exclusionary. I guess it depends on what you want the outcome to be.

I don't know I think the interview has much more impact on the CoS. The threat of taking it else where may give youtube another avenue to worry about.

My guess is this vid will have over a million views within a week. That's strong leverage power. As opposed to trying to kiss youtubes ass with emails.

Just a thought as I don't see it being discuss (well it might have been but it's not prominent)/

You think if the video is hosting on vimeo or another site it wont get the same exposure?

To me this is all about drama and not interim solutions being held at bay by youtube from disemination seems weird to me.

Once youtube re-instates it can be rehosted there.

I stated this on that long ass thread on Fri- let the interview drop, it will be around the world in no time. Fuck YT at this point. If they're smart they'll reinstate the account.... if not, then the cult def. complained. Also Suzie Reider is the Marketing and Advertising head at YT perhaps calls and emails asking about all the ads might be in order???

maybe just post the video somewhere else and make an accompanying statement -maybe another video- why its unfortunately not possible to display it on youtube. This statement also upped on tory's account, but not the Jason Beghe video. This way it would be released -which imho is right now the most important thing- and at the same time be used as a means to show youtube it was a stupid idea to suspend the account only hurting youtube and generating negative PR.

Yeah I guess if the point of all this is to make youtube look bad that's a good idea.

I thought the point was to make the CoS look bad and while it's not a stretch to infer this is all CoS driven most newsorgs and regular folks will just think it conspiracy theory.

So...that's really what I'm asking / suggesting. Because this jihad against youtube while funny is that a jihad against youtube and not the CoS. The full video being released though we know where that hurts.

i do agree with this. and i believe village voice may be hosting it. WMB's account & "voice" is a lesser priority. he didnt actually make vlogs too often, whereas tory makes them much more regularly every time she had a sniff of gin i think.

This is about drama! Anyone from the media knows that only drama drives the masses.

i'm not sure if i fully understood what you meant -english's not my first language- ill read your posting some more, because i dont want to misunderstand anything. i agree anyway its the main point to get this video out, if thats what you are saying. Which will make CoS look bad, because they are.

I agree. The drama being created doesnt hurt CoS anymore. It is just between YouTube, viacom and WBM and i somehow doubt that they will come to an early agreement. In my opinion WBM should now just release the full interview somewhere. It will then get uploaded to YouTube and exposed to the big audience anyway. Now is the right time, it is sunday, the people are at home ready for reception.

I hate to admit it, but I agree with the underlying message of this thread. While I'm dedicated to getting WBM account back because I believe that that is his preferred vehicle of release, I hope he has some backup plan in place come Monday and if it isn't fixed by then, releases it then. Either on vimeo, or some other video site, or in the media.

I'm thinking WBM might want to up it to YT because it'll direct a gazillion people to the other vids and info he has as well, and vimeo wouldn't do that... put a link to xenutv website and most people visit once or twice, put a link to his suspended YT account and people forget it ever existed before it's back up - put it on his account when it's up and people subscribe, rate, favorite for moar views and YT main page, fap and whatever --> more win...?

I will fully admit that I could be completely off my rocker, it is also possible that the youtube war might be an ego thing. I'm not for cutting off our noses to spite our face. The video disemination by what ever means is the most important thing (in my opinion).
