If this video gets removed, upload it again, and again, and again, and again, and again....

Free email and proxys are your friends. The $cilons only have so many brain dead slugs to do their internet dirty work. Wear them down.

Re: So, the FULL version on Youtube just got flag bombed

Can we all just remember something please?

Youtube/google are a private company... therefore they *can* choose what kind of material they want to host. Yes, they have a policy of fairness and free speech but they are NOT obligated to do anything they don't want to.

I think some of you are forgetting this. Yes it sucks, but they are NOT OBLIGATED to give you your freedom of speech using their websites.

The best tactic would be simply calling, emailing etc constantly.
Flag bombing popular videos will just piss them (and everyone else) off - we really need them on our side, or at least in a neutral point of view where they let us use YT to say what we want.

Yes I am fully aware of this. However, they can't violate their own Terms of Service without some form of repercussion.

Pardon, but a lot of that is a load of bullshit.

There's a critical mass issue. If a site is small in scope and membership they can easily (and legitimately) claim they are catering to a specific group of people, and they can tweak their content appropriately.

But when a site opens themselves up as a global presence, "open to all" (remember--anyone can sign up even if they can be rejected "for cause" at some later point), there's a public duty that becomes attached.

At the very least, even if the law doesn't push them to comply with that public duty (and some would argue in some ways it could), its perfectly appropriate for members to hoist YouTube on its own petard in terms of public relations. We CAN indict them in the court of public opinion for violating their own declared polices and for betraying the public trust, even if its unlikely anyone could in a court. Its ALLOWED for us to do that. Its a legitimate and appropriate action.

I get your point about flag bombing. In the court of public opinion, you are correct that it IS a bad idea and I agree it shouldn't be done. But the WORST reason to cite to people for that is "YouTube has its rights". Yeah, they do, but that's not an argument with weight to people who are upset at them. The better objection is simply this: we have a right to protest, but for P.R.'s sake we have to come off as having the moral high ground. Let's not weigh ourselves down by whining about YT's "rights" and just think of this as a practical P.R. necessity.

I used to work for one of PC World's stores (yes I know, I'll flagellate myself later), and unless there's some kind of "hate crime" involved (ie: not letting black/gay/etc people in), legally the owner of a store can eject anybody they like for any reason. It's private property, regardless of whether it's a "public" shop. As the largest computer retailer in the UK, they are so far beyond "critical mass" it's not funny. However, they don't have to let you into the store if they don't want you in there. It'd just be incredibly stupid of them to start randomly banning people, not illegal.

Same goes with web sites. I believe Max Barry says it best right here.

Which was a very bad idea to begin with. Anon has to take the high road at every turn... let Scientology wallow in the mud by themselves, anytime we react in kind it makes us no better than them in the eyes of the public.

There are always other ways... so don't react instinctively.
