Summary as of 04/19/08 - 13:13 Central Time

1. WBM's account XenuTV1 is suspended.

2. Target declared as YouTube. Mass calling, complaining, and emails ensue.

3. YouTube says WBM's first account (XenuTV) was suspended due to a DMCA notice from Viacom. Since users are only allowed 1 account ever, his current account (XenuTV1) has also been suspended.

4. Viacom says that they don't have anything to do with YouTube's accounts.

5. Everybody in positions of authority leaves Viacom and Google for the weekend.



Current Discussions:

1. Who is the current primary target?

2. Can WBM file a DMCA counter-claim claiming the original video clip is allowed under Fair Use.

6. Mark receives direct email from YouTube stating that even if Viacom calls YouTube and says that they didn't intend for an account to get terminated, we just wanted our content removed, you can/should reinstate the account -- but we're not retracting our initial claim, they still won't reinstate it.

I've received bunches and emails and PM's on this front, with great suggestions. It's being looked into. Story developing.

7. Mark states in the radio program on Glosslip that he will release the video, regardless of whether or not his channel goes back up.

8. BayTSP (the copyright DMCA people for most of MPAA) sent WBM an email, no retraction for actual infringing videos.
