I would have been there, but a sudden, late illness stopped me. :(

I couldn't stay long, but got plenty of photos and some video. I'm uploading the photos to this set on Flickr, and will soon put the videos on YouTube, probably.

Looked like a great crowd, as many (or nearly as many) as previous events. The party in Copley Square rocked hard!

I had a fantastic time today! I hope everyone else did as well, and that we can keep this momentum going for Operation Sea Aaaargh.

huge props to cabby and nala and anonypunk and conqy and ando for all helping make this happen with the last minute acquisitions of generators and PAs and permits and awesome.

Yeah, that was a great time. The protest went well, went there with 50 fliers and handed them all out, there was delicious caek, dance party (even though I can't dance for shit :D:D), and many, many lulz. I think next time I should sleep before I go.

We did really well today, numbers aside. People were articulate, flyers and cards flew, and the dance party was good fun. I think we can call this a win.

Numbers were probably down, but it was still epic win all around. I don't think I've ever had as much fun at a protest as I did today. Sorry I didn't stick around to clean up, but helping to set up, failing at dancing, and failing worse at capture the flag took a lot out of me, because I am fat and lazy and from the internet.

Whether our numbers were down or not is beside point. We still had way more than the scientologists. Which wasn't that hard to pull off considering that there weren't any of them out. None. There were no over-the-hill OSA agents. There were no cute scientology girls handing out dvds (although that blonde lady cop was pretty hot). There were no asshole Sci-attorneys out. More importantly THERE WAS NO FUCKING STOOP KID!!! There was only the short guy with glasses talking to the cops on the steps and Window Kid. Stoop Kids gay life partner blue shirt guy wasn't even out. We demanded Stoop Kid come out but it didn't happen. There were no Scilons walking about photographing us on Beacon street. It looks like we actually managed to stop the fair game that day.

The march to Copley was definitely epic. I got some good footage of the dance party. I even got most of the "Read A Book" on film. Not sure if the worlds ready for that yet. It's too bad Larry Brennan didn't come but he did just release that affidavit so he's probably laying low. Did we ever end up flyering the Freedom trail? Pix coming tomorrow.
