Re: LONDON, UK

I just got back myself - turnout was definately less than in the last few. My personal estimate is in the 200-250 range.

Some pictures from the protest, more being added;
AscensionNU/May 10th 2008 - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Quite a few shots of enturbulated scifags...

Theres a picture of a policewoman carrying a sign away; it belonged to the guy who got the court summons.

Now to pre-empt BAAAAAWING:

If numbers were low it's because a lot of Anons are college/uni age and this is exam season. That's why I wasn't there, and why a lot of Anons I know weren't there. That's the way it goes.

The next couple will be MASSIVE

Re: LONDON, UK

yeah... but education was used as a reason for people not turning up to all the past protests.

Although turnout was notably a lot lower than usual, you still had around 3-400 people there at some points.

Here's some pictures.

Here's the kid and the police, the actual sign itself wasn't insulting in anyway. http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...0/partyvan.jpg

I've never heard it being used for any of the others. This time round everyone (almost all students) have exams - we are a quarter of the way through exam season.

Re: LONDON, UK

Just got back. I handed out a whole mountain of leaflets. I made it my personal mission to get a leaflet into the hands of everyone on TCR who took a scientology one. Mostly I did, but there was some confusion as many people thought the scientology leaflet was from anon.

I had a couple of interesting conversations as well today. One with a policeman who suggested bringing a rubbish sack for all the scientology leaflets that were handed to me when people realised who they were from, and another with a freelance reporter who is interested in writing about scientology and anonymous. I directed the latter here and a few other places for information.

I also had a very peculiar woman tell me that if scientology is good enough for Tom Cruise then it's good enough for her. Her husband didn't seem to agree, but I suspect he wouldn't say so in front of her.

I have kept a copy of the scientology leaflet, I may very well make my own copy of it with more acurate information ;)

My friend and I have noticed a fair few pictures of just us there, PERVERT. ;)

I think Party Hard had the most people, the protests now feel a lot more empty than that one. The following few will probably not have many because of high school exams. I know I might not be going as a result.

Brightonanon here.

We all had cult signs down in Brighton, and the police said they were fine. The only sign they didn't like was a "22 murders" one, so we got rid of it. I'm suprised you got such a hard time about signs tbh, sucks.

Happily stood around with my "Scientology Is A Brainwashing Evil Cult" sign all day =)

Anyway, sorry for interupting. In before more London reports:

What? I'm having some kind of attack, what is this?? I just choked on my pizza trying to make sense of this. Seriously I don't understand. I can't even comprehend the individual words, I'm thinking about it so hard. It's like some kind of nonsensical Old English Biblical metaphor. It touches me deep in my soul. Well done to you.

EDIT: sorry, my friend posted this and she is a bit hurr (and knows nothing of internets). But I like the paragraph itself. It's so eloquent.
