Re: Vancouver, British Columbia
BRIEF SUMMARY:
I would have to put numbers at 60 - 70. No hired security this raid. Times must be tough. We went strong until 4pm. They called the police on 2 or 3 occassions due to the usual "blocking the sidewalk" BS claim. These officers were not as friendly as previous. OT7 Doug Kerr talked to us for a good 10 minutes before someone came out advising him to stop. Gerry Armstrong was in attendance. Scientology v. Armstrong FreeZone was there including 2 ederly Ex-Scientology Ot4's that were there in support. They know EVERYONE on the inside. Even Red Shirt. Free masks! Free T-Shirts! A Gingerbread-org! PIZZA! EPIC DAY IS EPIC |

Re: Vancouver, British Columbia
Seemed liked a fairly decent turn out today. Mostly the same folks as last month.
Even though I came late, I managed some quality PR time, giving out many leaflets to a fairly receptive public. Me and Scilon Doug had good chin wag. He actually pointed out a few flaws in one of my flyer's. Good stuff. I am a learning machine. Who ever ordered Pizza is goodtimes indeed! Thanks for the support. All in all, a good show and medium grade win. Hrrmm. I kinda get the feeling that we need more coal for the engine. Anyone agree? As serious as our message is, I think it needs a lil more hoopla. I'm not exactly sure if other Vanon's are up for it, but I'm interested in bringing a bit of the carnivalisim back. My Brother Vanon and I are planning to build "End Boss" and bring it out next time. Hopefully we can beat back the beast of apathy and make it happen. |

--- ATTENTION VANCOUVER ANONS ---
![]() I guess I am asking for it by not wearing a mask, or being very vocal, but I got alot of this sort of reaction this afternoon. I am not a scilon, and I think that the few people who asked if I was believed me. I fully support what you guys are doing, and the conversation and discussion with the public I heard what very well informed. I only wish I had gotten there earlier. Keep up the awesome work, and if you are there next month, I will be too. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I think our march at the end was really awesome too! We got alot of attention from people on the street. Maybe we should do a march around Vancouver next time as well?? |

Turm0il:
At the April protest they did a march around the downtown area to the VAG, and then back to the org. I don't know if they did a march at the end of that protest, but we did one at the end of the March protest(I missed the one in April due to Work). |

Re: Vancouver, British Columbia
We had a great protest, a good turnout, and the whole thing was success.
I do see some things to improve on however.. things I think we should discuss. #1: Some of the music played was absolutely inappropriate. We have to keep it clean others it's really going to hurt our cause. #2: Debating. We can't argue doctrine with them about what is 'right' and what is 'wrong'. For example, let's say they say that the spirit of a person is in existence thousands of years before they are born. We cannot disprove this statement. They can't prove it either. But we CAN tell them facts about the person who wrote it. Hubbard. He died from a drug overdose, had ties with satanism, and he started the religion for the purpose of money, Government infiltration, prosecution. These are all facts that can't be denied, and I think some of the debates had on that day were reasonable on both sides. The scientologists were willing to talk. That's a step or two in the right direction. While I didn't agree with the freezoners (they believe Hubbard not Miscavige) I was happy to see some ex-scientologists there with us. A definite step in the right direction. #3: I talked to quite a few passerbyers who weren't sure even what the whole thing was about. Most of them thought we were part of scientology. Obviously our signs or presentation isn't clear enough. The cops weren't quite as nice this time but I suspect they were just frustrated at the scientologists for BS calls and didn't want to be disturbed again. Regardless, we followed the rules, kept it peaceful, GOT A FREE SCILON HUG, and had win. |
