As such, I've adapted the text of an actual Letter of Marque (the big difference-maker: privateers had them and thus had legal authorization, pirates didn't) from the War of 1812. Apologies to the Britfags, and you can adapt to your local conditions at your heart's content:

(BTW: If you think this is tl;dr, you should see the Letters of Marque from the 15th, 16th, and 18th Centuries. They were impossible to adapt.)

I got some Scientology job applications. You guys should see them, they ask you if you're connected to government or intelligence agencies through any familial connection, if you've ever sold drugs (to who, what, when, and where), if you've ever committed a felony for which you weren't caught, and they even have multiple questions about if you've ever received electric shock therapy, insulin shock therapy, other brain therapy, psychiatric therapy, etc. Should I bring some to the protest?
