Operation: Pink Noise

Bump for rapidly approaching Pride month.

Srsly, I know our June global focus is Sea Arrgh, but June is the BEST time to reach out to/educate the LGBT community. In my city, our local org is actually just a block away from the main LGBT neighborhood/barstrip! And hardly any of them know what's going on in that building. I've been talking to people and trying to educate where I can, but some more resources/handouts/posters/etc. would really help.

Huh. Maybe it's a North America thing. Def. US and Canada. But yes, June is "Pride month" on this side of the pond, so it's a good time to focus on it.

Can't do colour prints of anything so wouldn't be effective any other way than to manually make it myself =\

Here in Britain Pride shiz is all over the place, so bit complicated to do in June for us...

In one of my original posts I suggested contacting the list of people with the letter. I don't think it took off at the time. Are UK based anons up for this? I believe it would be well worth our while to bring this to the attention of people like Stephen Fry and Sir Elton John.

Those elsewhere, can you get this off the ground in your territory? There is a post earlier in the thread with suggestions for other influential homosexuals.

Empress, could you post up any gay specific flyer designs. I'm guessing the SOCAL fliers could be used all across the USA. With suitable modification they might be used in Queen's English territories.

I may indulge in this therefore, but I can't afford to buy loads and loads of stamps so I may try my best to find reliable online communications... a.k.a email addresses which are actually checked and responded to.
I shall possibly start on Monday. Need to do something to keep me busy atm =]

I have NO flier art skills. The phrase above was taken from the Christopher Street West website. I can prolly put together some snappy prose, but the art is beyond me--maybe Anon masked leather daddies (and mommas), drag queens, everydaygays (think polo shirts and jeans), bulldaggers, baby butches, lipsticks....basically a Tom (and Tammy) of Finland look with Anon masks over a representation/cross section of LGBT members? BUT I am art-challenged, though.

Boston's holding off the Sea Arrrgh protest until the 15th because the gay pride parade is the 14th. On the 14th they'll be flyering and hopefully recruiting.
