If you going to do it, instead of going the performance artist route, go the flash mob route.

Here's how it would play out:
Average people walk onto the subway. Average people, nothing too obvious.

Then at another stop, another average person with a boom-box walks on. The signal is cast.

Suddenly, these average people don V masks, cast off their average clothing to reveal suits underneath. Signs are pulled out of a back back and boom box suddenly plays Rick Astly. The Anon's begin dancing and the average tube becomes PARTY TUBE!

Fliers handed out as the Super-Party Tube flies down the rails.

The flash mob idea is awesome (though I still agree with the original idea that anons shouldn't carry more than some basic cards... people tend to ignore protests, that's just a fact of life... but if people just start seeing masked people everywhere, they'll be encouraged to look up the information on their own, and will be much less likely to pass it off as 'just more protesters).

Course I don't see why we can't have it all. People can organize flash mobs, mundane-anons, anons on tv... the whole 9...001 yards.

The idea of masked people everywhere could create a feeling of invasion or control, similar to the idea of Big Brother. This is why I'm against it, in addition to the fact that they could be seen as more of a nuisance than a benefit.

It's my opinion we should stick to pissing off the scilons than going with something that has the possibility of pissing off the public at large.

If you do that somewhere without cameras (security, etc), there would be no way in hell scifags/Joe Public would possibly remember what the masked folks looked like without masks, because until they suit up they would have no reason to be memorable.

I agree with the sentiment, but frankly I think it would depend on how the individual anons put it across. It's worth a shot at least - I think this could really work, and if not then we'll stop doing it, pure and simple.

Eh, some people might get a little weirded out... but I don't think a lot of people are gonna feel threatened.

I'm already working on... 'appearances' with anons in my town :D

We're thinking of setting up some people in a city park, anons on benches, having picnics, walking dogs... etc. :D

Remember, the real goal of this operation shouldnt be to just be randomly around for joe public to see. The goal is to be seen during news events, to get shown on tv, the internet, etc.

It makes people curious. It makes the OSA shit brix. It's fuckin hilariously lulzy to see random anon at events. "Anon at mah olympics?! moar likely than you think."

Well, EXCuuuse me, Princess.

I just feel the point that just being seen on TV just for the sake of being seen bears nothing on current operations. Is the Anon spreading information? Generating win? Engaging in Epic Lulz? No. They're just there, doing nothing. Sure, if we see it, we think "hee hee, there's Anon", but to the general public, it means nothing. It becomes a pointless act; it is neither informative nor fun, it's just pretentious.

This is why I feel that we should stick to scilon based activities or engage in more lulzy pursuits. There we are actively doing something.

Any big event, anon should be there. Too bad the Olympics aren't in America this year. Imagine this, hundreds of anon at the Superbowl, and right after half time everybody puts on their masks. We go from normal fans to a crowd full of random people donning masks. Of course the only problem would be getting past security with said masks.

Alternatively, what about The Today Show in the big apple? It's summer, Anons are out of college, with free time. Every morning, anons are in the audience with masks under their jackets. Written on a plain white shirt under the jacket is "whyweprotest.org". Keep it simple. They're outside the studio's window. They're on the streets. At a scheduled time when the show starts, they take off their jackets, hold it with one hand over their shoulder to display the URL, and don the masks. you don't need to be silent, be cheering like anybody else.

If you have a job, skip the plain white shirt and put on your uniform, and cover up your name tag if you have one. If you're a doctor, wear your white collar, if you're a construction worker, put on your blue collar and hard hat. Cooks, clerks and cashiers, don your aprons.

Imagine hundreds of New York anons without signs, they could be anybody, wearing a plain white shirt with the SAME url(or work uniform) and donning the same Guy Fawkes masks on most every TV in the country, outside the NBC studio, on the streets, just cheering like anybody else. We don't need to be silent, just be normal. Perhaps we keep doing this every single day on the Today show. Keep the mask with you at all times, maybe in your car. Do it when there's media coverage somewhere. If they're filming, just put on the mask and wave at the camera, in any country, state, or city for any event. If we show them that we're your cashiers, taxi drivers, realtors; we are your doctors, lawyers and friends; we are your police, firefighters, and medics; then we show the world how much this means to us.

Although I have to admit, a crowd of anon standing completely still with hands behind their backs in suits with red ties outside the studio, behind Katie Curic on live national TV, is pretty funny and intimidating. Thoughts? Just an idea.
