Post goes where?!

With the forum redesign we cut out a lot of the ambiguity as to where things should be posted, but there are a still a lot of mis-placed posts and under-utilized forums. The purpose of this notice is to clear up any confusion in regards to what goes where.

Site News, Announcements, and Discussion - Where suggestions for Enturbulation site and community go. This is also where mods/admins will post announcements of new features.

Introduction to Activism - This one's for the newbs. If you have some information that would be helpful to some one who is new to activism, or new to Chanology that would be posted there.

Breaking News - For Breaking News. This is where you post news articles, things that are happening NOW. These posts are archived after three days after they were posted (unless conversation is still current) to keep the forum clean.

Think Tank - There seems to be the most confusion in regards to the purpose of this forum. The Think Tank is where ideas go to get fleshed out - ALL ideas should start out here, from proposed dates and themes for future protests to scripts that need to be fleshed out.

General Discussion - A place for discussion of topics that involve Scientology, but not activism. This would also be the appropriate place for celebrity gossip and YouTube videos.

Activism Projects - After the idea comes the implementation. That is what Projects and Planning is for. Once an idea is fully fleshed it should be brought to Projects and Planning when it's ready to "go live."

Posts in the wrong forum will be actively moved by the mods to the appropriate forum. This site works best if information is easily found. Information that's misplaced isn't going to get the attention that it deserves.

This forum has way too many boards, it's way too fragmented.. I only now realized that any humorous stuff had its own board and etc etc etc. I don't have time so look at 6 different forums and I'm missing out on lots of important stuff as a result and I'm sure I'm not the only one. This place still needs more streamlining.

tl;dr: FEWER MORE GENERALIZED FORUMS

hrm... i'm actually finding it easier to find what i'm looking for now. when there were less forums it was all one big mash and the popular ones were running threads down the page so fast i never saw them.

Where do I go for press and cold hard facts?

It is difficult to satisfy all the needs at the same time. The present state is not so bad, but people should make the effort to use the appropriate tools:
- If you want to know what is new, use the "New posts" button"; it covers all the sub-forums.
- If you are interested by the media, it is in the "Breaking news" sub-forum; unfortunately, people think that posting there will give extra visibility to their stuff; most of the other sub-forums are to the point.
- Use the "Search" button, and its advanced mode, for a specific subject.
- Subscribe to the threads you have an interest in.

Nobody can be perfectly happy, but you can adapt the whole thing quite well to your needs.

Where should I put a post inquiring about whether CCHR should properly be eligible for tax-exempt status (due to its extensive lobbying)?

There is a folder called "Tax-Exempt Status", but it is in the archive and therefore all of its threads are locked. If I try to use the Search function to find all threads that have the word 'tax' in their title, the search fails because 'tax' is too short a word.

COS Front Groups.

I want to ask so many questions about what it is like inside the Orgs.
Which would be the right forum to ask these questions in?

Thunderdome is complete junk, wall of shame are examples of fail, I do both =D

Wall of Shame = complete fail posts, often idiots or OSA attempting to incite violence or other illegal activity. Sent there to die and be an example, no further discourse allowed, they are nothing but fail.

Thunderdome = well of trolls, things sent there to be utterly eviscerated.
