Freewinds Asbestos Press Release
Press release in the works. Those with PR skills or those with specific knowledge that our PR people can use should consider contributing. I threw a few links and a very rough outline up, please help! |

Yeah. Shouldn't Scientology be legally OBLIGATED to inform past passengers, the way someone diagnosed with AIDS has to contact past sexual partners? I wonder if many Scientologists will start to blow when their own church confesses to them that they knowingly exposed them to a very carcinogenic chemical.
Probably not. One can hope though. I do hope some government sticks it to DM and makes him explain what he did to the people he did it to, though. He can't claim they consented if they don't know. Either way, he's a monster. |

1) They think they're immune to cancer.
2) I think we should tie this into the Operation: Over the Wall [Postcards from Paradise] or whatever thread that's in Activism/Planning right now. Having a few dozen postcards saying, "I just heard about all the blue asbestos found in the Freewinds, and I know you spent a lot of time there because you are OT7/were Sea Org/etc. Are you okay?" |

We know to expect footbullets from the Co$, but this is more like a footcannonball.
This has to get major press/legal coverage. If oil companies are held responsible for accidentally leaking their product into the ocean, then by all means, the Co$ should be held responsible for knowingly exposing people to a dangerous carcinogen.

They won't take it serously, you linked a forum, not direct information. I already said earlier in this thread, I have a friend that works for OSHA, he looked into it, there is nothing they can do unless the ship is within certain nautical miles of the United States. The freewinds does not enter United States Waters, if and when they do then OSHA could step in. |
