I think the Ex-Scientology Kids segment on Nightline was great, and hopefully won't be the last on done on the subject of scientology. In response to the "church" of Scientologys response (ABC News: Church of Scientology Statement to ABC News)
They say "...the Church cannot respond directly to Mrs. Hill's allegations without impugning her character, something the Church will not do."
I would like to draw your attention to a website used by the CoS when impugning critics characters: Religious Freedom Watch Defending Religious Rights
On this website leading critics such as ex scientologist and now vocal critic Tory Christman and the owner of xenu.net Andreas Heldal-Lund are two of many critics subjected to very nasty character defamation.
The name religious freedom watch may sounds like a website which tracks and highlights religious abuses, however a quick look at is shows that nearly all “articles” are written about Scientology critics. This contradicts the statement released, and shows that “fair game” (Fair Game (Scientology) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)) is still actively practiced by the CoS.
I would also like to point out that the BBC did a report on Scientology, “Scientology and me” (Panorama: Scientology And Me (John Sweeney)) and was subjected to the same claims of bias and “tabloid journalism” as you have been (see BBC Panorama Exposed for the CoS rebuttal video)
The CoS repeatedly lies to the public and tries to present a false image of itself. I hope Nightline continues its great work and one day does an in depth expose of the dangerous cult of scientology.

I would encourage Anons to stay away from the old news as direct bullet points. Mention things like Operations Snow White and Freakout, but don't focus on them.

Between Boston, New Zealand, Germany, Israel, WBM (if willing to speak), Magoo (if willing to speak), Sean and Mudkips, the Industry of Death tour, Glosslip, RADAR, and the GLOBAL protests, there is PLENTY of current media to give to ABC.

Also, make sure to reinforce our thanks for calling us "Internet ACTIVISTS" not "super hackers" or "web geeks" or any of the unsavory terms that mislabeled us early on.

This shit is ongoing. Every month, some new outrage against critics is perpetrated by the "church" of Scientology. I wrote. After 10 years of this bullshit, I have a few things to say!
And I am very, very willing to share!

There was a thread a while ago about Jenna being messed with by O$A after doing the interview, trying to convince her to have it pulled. Does anybody remember where her account of these events is? If we can't get Jenna to tell them (dunno if that's possible), then we should forward them her story about how the Co$ tried to suppress the very interview Nightline just did. I would expect journalists to react poorly to attempted censorship...

Also, from the comments, it would appear that they gave validity to a fake "Anonymous" video posted by $cilons to make it look like we were threatening them, when they apparently are distributing a DVD quality version of a clip that they supposedly got from YouTube. Perhaps direct contact, especially from someone they're more liable to listen to than a random Anon, would bring this to their attention better than one of nearly 200 comments on the webpage.

Use this only if you are willing to completely break your anonymity with ABC. You can request that your name not be used if they pursue anything you send them but for them to consider anything credible, it has to show up with a name and a phone number attached. Unfortunately, this is going to be true of anything that is sent to major media outlets. The good news is that I don't know a responsible journalist that would toss a source under a bus. The bad news is that we have no way of knowing that personal information could not get out. The leak doesn't have to be the journalist, it could be anyone.

It may be best to find someone who doesn't mind the possibility of being namefagged or someone who is already public. Names like Chuck Beatty, Arnie Lerma, Tory Magoo all spring to mind. I don't know that Mark would be a good choice as he works for a different affiliate.

I sent links about the Jewish Couple that recently sued because Scis get to deduct school expenses while no other religion does because of the secret IRS deal.

That's BIG news for the millions of parents who pay out of pocket for religious schools. There has been a huge push for years to get the gov to provide a tax break/credit/vouchers for out of pocket schooling. Meaning I'll take the tax money that would have gone to gov for public school and apply it to MY own school of choice. This is a perennial hot button.

Can you imagine the outrage from parents all over the country if this news went BIG TIME.

What I'm saying is this would create a lot of chatter, talking head debates, (what would Gretta say?) and bring in a whole new HUGE demographic
