Re: Scientology Spinning Freewinds delay
I think Pat Harney and Karin Pouw need to have a PR meeting on board the Freewinds real soon.

Re: Scientology Spinning Freewinds delay
Per the Woodcraft affidavit, it was Bitty Miscavige who was in-charge and decided on keeping the blue asbestos on the ship.
Bitty Miscavige is now out of the Sea Org and living in Virginia. She failed to speak up, refused to comment or support her daughter Jenna on the Nightline interview. Bitty, it's great that you're out now, but how about you do something right by exposing what YOU KNOW TO BE TRUE about the Deathboat Freewinds. Or are you going to plead the 5th when all of this goes down?

Re: Scientology Spinning Freewinds delay
I can say, and I am responsible for what I am saying, that the psychs have started to commit suicide under the hull of the Freewinds. We will encourage them to commit more suicides quickly.

However this does raise some interesting possibilities. Some people theorized that Jenna's parents did not speak out because they still have family/friends in Scientology and did not want to become disconnected from them. But now that this incident is becoming an Official Scandal, they may have to rethink their position. There's direct evidence that shows Bitty's culpability in this matter. In order to not get prosecuted herself, she may have to give up the goods on the rest of the cult. Another typical, but EPIC footbullet for the cult. More people that just wanted to be left alone after they left, want to keep quiet, but then Scientology goes and does something that drags them right into the middle of the fray. One can only imagine all the deep dark secrets Bitty may have to reveal to keep from going to jail. In closing, let me say again, we should tread a fine line with this because anything we say critical of Bitty is going to affect Jenna. |

Re: Scientology Spinning Freewinds delay
Maybe we need to rewrite the Love Boat lyrics to go along with all of this.
I suck at this a bit, but I imagine it would be something like... ======================================== The CLEAR Boat: By Anonymous (sung at future raids/protests to the tune of "The Love Boat") Clear, exciting and new. Come aboard! And just breathe the blue... Clear! Ron's sweetest reward. It won't float... and will kill you too... The Clear Boat. Soon will be making another corpse. The Clear Boat. Promises nothing for anyone. Set a course for Tee-gee-ack Your mind on Xenu and pals Clear. Won't hurt... that much more It's an open wound And a total bore! Yes, CLEAR! It's Clear! THE CLEAR BOAT!!!!! Last edited by WileyCoyote; 05-01-2008 at 11:31 AM. |

Re: Scientology Spinning Freewinds delay
Lawrence is one of the few people that could probably answer this but at that time 1987 I know a lot of changes were happening. It was a year after Hubbard died so the organization of the church was still not that organized. He reported the problem to Betty but would she have had final say in the matter to ignore it and if so, would she have come to that decision under duress as most officers of the SO seem to be under enormous pressure to get results. As previously stated Hubbard had not told people asbestos was dangerous, therefore it wasn't. I agree not to be too harsh on Betty at this point in time.
It is going to be interesting when all these issues start going to trial. In similar cases when people make decisions like 'asbestos isnt bad for you' the defense attorneys would certainly try the insanity defense. Will a judge be able to force people into psychiatric evaluation or will everyone have to take the stand and say they knowingly violated the law ending up with a lot of misguided people behind bars. |
