Cult Fraudulently claims medal of valor....
AHHH they are at it again,
Scientology Cult Fraudulently Claims "Medal of Valor" from New York Fire Department : Indybay "The Scientology cult loudly boasts that after 9/11, its "Volunteer Ministers" were awarded the Fire Department of New York's highest honor, the "Medal of Valor." This is not only a lie, but an insult to the memory all the brave firefighters who died in the line of duty and were awarded this Medal posthumously. Dozens of Scientology web site and blogs brazenly make this claim, in a continuing effort to legitimize their cult." LIARS!!! |

Yeah!
Also please see DeathHamster's post from the thread where we were previously discussing this. The "Travis Sargent" quoted in DeathHamster's post is an OSA guy called Bill Yaude. Also, a Digg. Fire at will! Digg - Scientology Cult Falsely Claims "Medal of Valor" from FDNY |

Re: Cult Fraudulently claims medal of valor....
You know what would be awesome...
If you send this to the New York Post. Ask if they take contributions. They would run this.

Re: Cult Fraudulently claims medal of valor....
The byline isn't the important thing. If they could run a story on it at all, that would be great. Of course they would also have to try to get an official response from the guy. For the lulz.

They probably can't run a report submitted by an activist, but giving some credit to the good Dr. Marcab (snicker) might be in order.

Re: Cult Fraudulently claims medal of valor....
They probably believe it when they lie.
I don't mean brainwashing per se, but the fact that any rumor that is a potential "acceptable truth" gets passed around until someone thinks it's an official report. Simple trail of probably events, which are much more common in cults than non-cultic organizations: DM or a random DSA pathologically lies to their people to booster morale; they pass it on down; it eventually reaches their various PR people; they can't conceive of verifying a rumor told to them therefore in their minds it must be true; it confidently goes to press;they get called on it and THEN use their brainwashed condition to deny the error.
