Kucinich looking into abuses against peaceful protesters

Saw this link on Digg Digg - Kucinich to probe police surveillance of protest groups

Looks like Kucinich is looking into police and private investigators infiltrating and surveilling peaceful protest groups. Could be good to inform him and have him bring up Scientology and their harassment of protesters through private investigators using the same methods as hes condemning.

I emailed a little something to his office but I plan to write a formal letter also.

I know the black ops spying on protesters thing is old news but Kucinich's statement about it seems to be new. I like Kucinich, has a hot wife and he doesnt afraid of anyone.

I liked ol' Denny K... but most thought he was too left to leed... he has great ideas for making health insurance and health care non-profit businesses (I mean, shareholders for a business to save lives, asking for higher profits which cause people to be unable to pay so they end up not getting help and thus dying is kinda sick to me as well).

However, DK believes in UFOs, so WATCH OUT!

Contacting him sounds good, but although we have problems with private investigators and Scientologists infiltrating, we actually welcome undercover police presence among us. If the outcome of this is some kind of ban on police infiltration, then that is a very bad thing. Of course if corrupt police officers infiltrate in order to provoke violence, then that's bad and is probably already illegal, but if they infiltrate to make sure that there's no violence being planned or conducted, then that's a good thing which should continue, IMO.

I agree about the real police being welcome because we aren't doing anything wrong, but I did include a concern in my email about off duty and retired police being used for intimidation etc.

exactly...off duty cops hired by a suppressive organization to work as their lackeys IN UNIFORM...

cops as agent provocateurs ARE commonly used in anti war/government protests..and I suppose THAT is what the senators is interest in, there are all kinds of videos outing this shit on YOUTUBE...the G8 conference in Canada...man that video caught the cops RED HANDED trying to start a riot...and there is a video of cops doing similar out in San Fran I THINK (memory not so good) but someone leaked the cops own secret surveillance video and conversations of what and how they were going to take out certain protesters...

I am pretty sure it is this type of shit the senator is interested in, however it can't hurt to let him know that cops are hired to work IN UNIFORM to do things like keep sidewalks closed ect...and sometimes act unfairly against protesters.
