Sorry for going offtopic, but about that 'now hiring' sign. These are the conditions (from the dutch scientology site) Is this legal in the Netherlands? (summary for non dutch speakers: contract for 2.5 or 5 years, no bonusses, pay depends on weekly donations, most of the time below minimum wage pay, must not be on social welfare, full time = 40 hours a week work plus 12.5 hours a week learning, parttime = 20 h. working, 5 h. learning, most people working there have a regular job. (52.5 hours a week spending on scientology plus a regular job that can pay for costs of living? Quite hard to believe...)

Verbintenis (contract)
Iedereen die bij de kerk werkt is een vrijwilliger, maar wel op contractuele basis. Dat zorgt ervoor dat de continuïteit gewaarborgd blijft. De duur van een contract is 2,5 of 5 jaar. De medewerkers genieten geen seculiere voordelen zoals emolumenten, aanvullende pensioen, enz.

Kwalificaties

Heeft een werk- en verblijfsvergunning van minimaal 2,5 jaar

Ontvangt geen uitkering

Geen drugsdealer noch drugsgebruiker

Geen schulden die het vrijwilligerswerk in gevaar zouden brengen



Werktijden

De Scientology Kerk is open 7 dagen per week van 9:00 uur 's ochtends tot 22:30 uur 's avonds.

Een fulltime contract is 40 diensturen per week plus een extra 12,5 uur interne opleiding.

Een parttime contract is 20 diensturen per week plus een extra 5 uur interne opleiding.



Vergoeding
De medewerkers ontvangen wekelijks een (kosten)vergoeding. De hoogte van de vergoeding is onder meer afhankelijk van de donaties die in die week ontvangen zijn en kan daardoor behoorlijk wisselen; ze is meestal minder dan het minimumloon maar ook vaak weer boven de wettelijk vrijgestelde kostenverdgoeding voor vrijwilligers en daarom bruto-belast. De meeste full- en part-timers hebben een seculiere bijbaan waarmee ze in de kosten van hun levensonderhoud voorzien.
