I'm curious to see Scientology.org's traffic stats for both pre- and post- adsence ban, just to see how much of that was from us.

I think it would be useful to quote the fact that many Anons click the ads for a quick refrence to scientology information. it is not click fraud but a legitimate use.

Yes, we also find it funny. but there is a definite use to the ads being so handy.

I would write to google and ask for specific information from advertisers pretaining to this site. Any complaints, points of interest, "coincidental DVD packages", anything to learn more about the reasons for the account suspension before manning the harpoons.

I don't understand Google here. They're being evil and selling free speech to the highest bidder.

Google's ban only makes sense if they're trying to make as much money as possible, that they don't care where the money came from, and they don't mind that they're auctioning off free speech to the highest bidder.

On YouTube's Scientology Channel

as an advertiser you can BLOCK certain websites from getting your ads, having the account disabled is imo creepy and underhanded by google.

I smell bullshit and money, and it smells like scilons.

What about the money? Did google erase your earnings too?

Similar to google adwords, yahoo publisher network can be a substitute.

It would be interesting to see how YouTube/Google responds, if Anonymous makes a video complaining about this and posts it.

It would probably just get lost in the big sea of videos up there, but you never know.

It shouldn't be too tin-foil hatty. Just an outright questioning of the timing of this, and the overall Adsense policy, tied also into the XenuTV situation and a mention of the CoS getting special treatment. Perhaps with a plea for anyone who sees this as a cheap manipulative shot to voluntarily close their Adsense accounts and replace them with Amazon's equivalent.

This is called the "Cover your corporate ass" policy.

It makes solid sense, and i totally understand Google having the policy and pulling the AdSense account. They dont want people being able to say they are funding the KKK forums, or the Blow Up Churches Revue, and thats what they have that for.

Whether or not this stuff has been happening deliberately, Google has been real f-ing a-holes to us either under influence or on their own accord. Everybody liked them so much in the beginning because they seemed so respectable. Now that they have power it's time for them to abuse it. I think we all knew it was coming. When they side with a corporation like the CoS they've obviously ceased to care about their reputation. Is Teoma still around? (*checks* hmm, bought by ask.com, crap)

i am happy to donate some moneyz to enturb in the meantime, but yeah that sucks.
