Re: Freewinds -- US Team to Clean Asbestos
Has anyone sent the news to celebrity gossip shows like Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood and Extra? It seems like something they'd normally jump on.

The story is "death ship with asbestos, virtually all other ships of that vintage were scrapped because of this but not this one, celebs constantly on board for past 20 years, Woodcraft warned, asbestos now being removed". Also, if anyone knows the contacts for shows like "Inside Edition", Australia's "A Current Affair" and/or "Today Tonight", etc. those should be relevant too. My funniest thought was that someone should contact Dr. Phil. Because even though he's a schmuck, he's definitely no longer on the "Oprah" side. |

Re: RADAR: Cancer on the Lido Deck: Clean Team Enters Scientology's S.S. Asbestos
I wonder if the sister ship "Princess Marissa" is offline too with similar problems?
This site says it is "not available" Cyprus cruises with Princess Marissa

Reality Cheque. The cost of a proper court case settlement could easily go into the 100's of $millions The cost of $20-40 million in bribes could be well spent on making evidence go away or getting minimized. If I were in an evil cult, I would go with 1/10th cost of sweeping it under the rug best I could.

All things considered, I wonder what's the point of using a small US team all the way from Florida for the cleaning? Is it more cost efficient or something? |

Re: Freewinds -- US Team to Clean Asbestos
AirQest Envronmental: From their site
AirQuest Environmental - Miami - Fort Lauderdale - Boca Raton - West Palm Beach - Florida [quote] 2 Asbestos Abatement [Note: ACM is Asbestos Containing Material] Once the decision has been made to remove ACM, [**]AirQuest can manage the cost-effective removal process through the use of subcontractors with whom AirQuest has competitive rates and long-standing relationships. [**]AirQuest manages the project from the project design, submission of the ten-day notification to State and local EPA representatives, subcontracting and management of removal activities, clearance procedures, and compilation of a post-abatement report. The post abatement report includes a daily journal of abatement activities, daily and clearance air monitoring results and waste disposal manifests. All procedures and documentation are designed to meet the requirements of Federal, state and local regulatory agencies. [end quote] So, what we have is some small environmental company that can do abatement of asbestos via nothing more than hiring subcontractors. Subcontractors from whom, one might wonder? Well, we should consider wondering no more: the subs are most likely from Scientology's EPF, RPF, RPF's RPF, etc. AirQuest is nothing more than a project management shell whose web site has not one single notation of any qualified and/or certified management or the CV's of their management. Any reputable engineering/environmental firm lists the qualifications of their principals, since that is all they have to offer on the web. That there is not one single name of a principal in AirQuest is a huge RED FLAG, IMO. One wonders if AirQuest is in actuality a Scientology front set up for the purpose of providing validity for Scientology's using unqualified Scientology members or SO in their own renovations of contaminated buildings? It's food for thought. Here is the Florida corporate registration for AirQuest Environmental. Sorry it is tl;dr The URL is humongously long so here is a tinyurl for this doc: www.sunbiz.org - Department of State Original URL: www.sunbiz.org - Department of State nq_doc_number=P02000093621&inq_came_from=NAMFWD&co r_ web_names_seq_number=0000&names_name_ind=N&names_c or _number=&names_name_seq=&names_name_ind=&names_c omp_name=AIRQUEST&names_filing_type= **Note that the registration has these two salient entries: Registered Agent Name & Address CORPORATE CREATIONS NETWORK, INC. <====== Web managers and corporate managers 941 FOURTH STREET #200====for hire MIAMI BEACH FL 33139 US Officer/Director Detail Name & Address Title DPVS BOYLE, TRACI-ANNE <====== Traci-Anne is likely either the principal 3030 SOUTHWEST 19TH STREET === of the company, or an employee of the FORT LAUDERDALE FL 33312=== Registered Agent. Re: Freewinds -- US Team to Clean Asbestos
One other important thing about AirQuest Environmental:
They have only registrations in Florida for three years (two years since the last is for the "next" year) for 2006,2007,2008. Having started my own engineering/environmental company, I can verify that two years of operation is, frankly, not enough for any kind of credibility. The development of my company took five years before the industry realized that we might be capable. It took another two years to make enough money to stay in business and pay back the massive amount of money I put into the business. This AirQuest is likely nothing more that a shell being used for other purposes. There is no way that a two year old environmental firm has *any* credibility to be engaging in the decontamination of a cruise ship. IMO, YMMV Q |
