It looks like the Volkskrant did some digging themselves, verifying the CoC information would be a bit useless, and probably cost money too.

I get it that this guy is a nutjob and a psychopath, but from the perspective of Scientology, he's not so bad, he's just several million followers too early.

Do you think they'd be so quick to back away from him if he were doing what he did to only non-Scientologists in a Scientology-majority world. Um, no. He'd be on the official payroll, taking out SP's.

Killing for peace is like fucking for virginity.

Perhaps someone should indicate this to the Dutch authorities
Maybe we should point the persons doing the investigation to this thread?

Bad news for Scientology is good news for us, however minor in this case, as it's unlikely Americans will care about it.

Plus, he can no longer give money to Scientology.

It shows how they roll. Remember, the hit on Shawn Lonsdale was the work of a pro (no OSA hachet-job there). There's been far too many "accidents" or "suicides" of ex-scientologists and critics to be statisticly belivable.

This must be the creepiest Scientology-related story I've seen so far. Murder in the name of a sham religion? Now that's f***ed up right there.

"Man kills to pay for Tom Cruise's religion".

That's going to run very well indeed with Americans.

I can't help but be curious about his victims.

How exactly does giving the cult more money help save the world?
I'd like to see that explained to the general public.
Just why is it SO important for them to have more money?

Irony, discovering this thread while listening to a MIDI from an Assassin Anime series.

This is very very disturbing.

Thank goodness he's behind bars, or he could have changed to 'Targeting the latest SPs against saving the world.'

it's not really 'Murder in the name of a sham religion' , he was a already was a criminal (and perhaps a hitman) before he got into Scientology (he heard about Scientology when he was in jail (hmm...)). he didn't kill for his faith, but found a way to justify his deeds.
