The biggest criminal of Holland: Jesse is crazy
The biggest criminal of Holland: Jesse is crazy
Translated from article in the Volkskrant 28 April 2008 He is not really famous, but that is about to change. Jesse R. (39) is the biggest criminal of Holland, according to his former friend, crown witness Peter la S. Today Jesse R. appears for the judge for the first time, in a hearing. He is put to trial for at least six murders. In the dossier there are collected numerous statements from La S. where he tells all about the dirty deeds of Jesse R. According to La S. his former friend killed people to save the world. This bizarre combination is derived from the tenants of the Scientology Church, of which Jesse R. is a devout proponent. "Jesse thinks like this: I will earn 100 or 150 million and I will spend that all for the purposes of Scientology. If I make one hundred victims now, so be it, I will help a thausand later. It has not been in vain." Immortal Spirit The belief in Scientology seems ideal for an assassin. Core of the belief is that the human body is a temporary shell for an immortal spirit. You don't die, your spirit re-emerges inside a new body. So respect for and fear of death is rendered unneccesary. During interrogations Jesse R. remains quiet. He says he is honouring the 'code of the underworld'. But he does like to talk about other stuff, as noted by detectives. "Jesse R. stated to be against criminality and to work for world peace. Misunderstood These are the core beliefs of the Church of Scientology. But according to spokesperson Julia Rijnvis it is uncalled for to connect the Church, which is against criminality, with a big criminal. According to Julia it was Jesse R. who misunderstood the teachings. She further presses on that Jesse and La S. never were part of any religious service, nor were they a member of the Church. Rijnvis says Scientology is abused, like happened to so many other 'religions'. "Hitler also claimed to be send by God. That ofcourse does not make the Bible, Christ or the catholic faith evil." Long before Jesse R. was captivated by Scientology, he was considered armed and dangerous. After a robbery in 1993 he shot a policeman. He himself was badly wounded and was sentenced to prison for many years. The apple falls During his upbringing Jesse, born Jason Franklin R. (1968), became known with the workings of the crime scene. His father, De Indonesian-Dutch Checster Gregory ('Greg') R., is a renowned drug dealer who got convicted many times and spend about twenty years of his life in jail. "The apple falls close to the tree, the children of Greg soon formed a criminal side" says former hashies dealer Steve Brown, author of crime books such as Killing Fields Amsterdam. Brown used to do business with with Greg R. "He is easy in communication, a welldressed man who almost looks like a salesman. In comparison to other criminals he is fairly intelligent." "Jesse is just as vain as his dad" continues Brown. "He is charming and looks indonesian. He does not look dangerous, because he is rather frail and small. But in the underground he is wellknown and has a long reputation for his assassinations. Godfather Jesse started his criminal carere, according to insiders, working for his godfather: drugdealer Henk Orlando R. (not family) AKA the Black Cobra. Jesse is computerprogrammer, but was making his money with drugdeals and robberies. On the age of 24 he was suspected of his first murder. He was freed due to lack of evidence. Crime reporter Peter R. De Vries talked with him on numerous occasions since 1993. "Jesse is intelligent and super polite" says De Vries. "But he also was suspected of doing not so nice crimes. He goes to the max, and sometimes steps out of line." In the detention centre in Utrecht Jesse R. befriended robber Peter la S. (the future crown witness). In the early ninetees 'Dirty Peter' made Jesse enthausiastic for Scientology, he told the police. "When I met Jesse he was totally confused. I understood him and offered him a copy of Dianetics. By reading this book he was able to structure his thoughts again." After their detention they both focus their efforts on dealing hashies and Scientology. "Our friendship surpassed criminality. We did talk about crime, but much more about science and religion." Prada Shoes They evolved into doing bigger crimes. In november of 2005 they killed real estate owner and criminal Kees Houtman. The vain Jesse R. dressed for the occasion in a Dolce & Gabanna cap, Prada shoes and Versace pants. "I knew him better than his own wife" claims La S. Because Jesse R. trusted La S., he was allowed to take confessions with friends and family of Jesse. "In Scientology circles we talk about clearing overts" For tracking down an overt -something you have not done , or have done wrong- often a e-meter is used. A former member of Scientology who wishes to stay anonymous explains: "It goes like this: someone holds some kind of soup cans in both hands. A small current goes through there and you can measure that. When the needle jumps, you know someone either hiding something or has a problem. You ask on and on till all is confessed and the emotional charge is gone. You need to put in many course hours to be able to do that" Jesse R. owned an e-meter. When he was in jail, the machine was with his girlfriend, where La S. was living temporarily. The crown witness left after an argument "I wanted to take the e-meter from Jesse. The place where the e-meter was, was locked, so I kicked in the door. The new Christ The former member of Scientology: An e-meter is friggin expensive" The Scientology Church charges thausands of euros, says another former member. Outside of the Church the e-meters are relatively cheap. In 2006 La S. started talking to the police. When that became clear to Jesse, he send him an angry telephone message "Thank you very much for causing a stroke to a pregnant woman who is carrying the chosen thetan!" A thetan is an immortal spiritual being. According to La S. it was Jesse R. who thought his girlfriend was pregnant of the new Christ. "Jesse talks to angels" according to the crown witness. He has "moments where he enters psychosis. Often when using alcohol and drugs. He then sees spiders running all over his body. But also sober he sometimes is psychotic" But that is not the Jesse as most people know him. According to La S. his friend is "only rational". Everything is about him, other people are merely to use. Shooting someone is no problem for him or his conscience. Whenever it is "functional", anything goes." Mild mannered "Jesse is nice most of the time. He is really mild mannered. Till he descides not to be. Whoever messes with his ego is in grave danger. Reputation is important for Jesse. Status" In 1993 Jesse and others supposedly shot and burned two men. "Jesse thought it was amazing, because it was the first time they had set fire to a person. This would enlarge his status." Some suspects are afraid of Jesse R. His eyes can communicate pure evil, says La S. La S. himself made a crude comment when Jesse claimed to be 'stronger than Bruce Lee'. Jesse would look at him and pierce him with those cold eyes. "I was impressed how such a small boy with such a femanine build, could impress me so much just using his eyes." Back on Track Jesse R. tried to evangalize the Scientologists views as much as possible. Crime reporter De Vries received many e-mails about straightening out criminals and getting them back on track. "Maybe this offends Jesse, but I could not follow those letter at all. The e-mails were filled with terminology I have never seen before." Jesse even wrote a book about Scientology. According to La S. it is largely plagiarism and unreadable. "By using fancy words he tried to show others how good he was. Jesse sees in himself the new Jesus or the new L. Ron Hubbard (the founder of Scientology). Jesse R. awaits a long prison sentence. La S., the crown witness, has been put inside a witness protection program. He fears revenge from Jesse "I think that if Jesse is released from prison, he will know where to find me, because im a Scientologist. And if he has decided: that man must die, well, then that man dies." |

Old news is old, though this may be a better translation than in the first thread. If so, this should be merged in.

Didn't know this bizarre article existed on here before I wrote a translation. This translation might paint a clearer picture to some non-dutch speakers.

I would say this IS breaking news if it has never been announced in the breaking news forums. News is breaking if it is just released to most people, even if some knew it before.

It's definitely news, it's just that we already had a thread for it in Breaking News, started three days ago.
Improved translation is great, and now it's been put in the original thread as well. |

Re: Hitman in the name of Scientology
Anyone can use their religious beliefs as an excuse to commit murder, and it sounds like this guy was just a psycho killer.
But the angle here is that the Co$ allowed a psycho killer to play a significant role in their organization, as "Executive President of Criminon Foundation, Netherlands," without acknowledging that he was IN PRISON AT THE TIME, or that he was a killer. Why is that important? Well, for one, it shows that the Co$ doesn't do a very good job keeping track of who the supposed leaders of their front groups are. A serious organization devoted to rehabilitating criminals would have noticed if one of its regional leaders was incarcerated. The fact that Criminon didn't for a few years says something about its priorities. For another, it shows that Criminon doesn't work. The fact that a psycho killer is the "Executive President" of an organization that is supposedly rehabilitating criminals raises some serious concerns about how that organization can succeed at its goal. It's kind of like a junkie drug dealer running a self-help group for people addicted to drugs, isn't it? This backs Scientologists into a corner. If asked if their Netherlands Criminon program could still be considered effective, they have to either say that the criminal rehabilitation tech works, even when being administrated by a serial killer, which is a statement so blatantly insane only a Scientologist could believe it, or they have to admit the truth - that the program is a disaster because they screwed up by putting a murdering psycho in charge (at least officially) of rehabilitating criminals. Or they can just keep lying and saying that he was never involved with the Co$, which is transparent and easily countered. Another thing to point out is that, as others have mentioned, to get to be "Executive President" of the Netherlands branch of Criminon, he must have at least done some auditing. We know the Co$ keeps records of auditing sessions. We know that these sessions, among other things, fill the role of "confessions," in order to obtain blackmail material. IOW, there's a very good chance the Co$, or at least Jesse's auditors, KNEW about his murders. Sadly, we can't prove the last part, but it's not an unreasonable guess to make. I don't expect that Jesse was acting under the orders of anyone in the Co$ to commit his murders. But the Co$ might very well have known about his crimes and done nothing to stop him. Instead, they left him in charge of rehabilitating other criminals, even when he was, himself, in prison. That's a huge amount of negligence and apathy on their part. They can definitely be called out as villains in all this, even if they aren't directly the guilty party. Last edited by Nocturnal; 05-02-2008 at 05:13 PM. Reason: Confused Narconon with Criminon. All those front groups sound the same... |

Re: Hitman in the name of Scientology
I think we need to hammer the hell out of the, "how did this guy ever become the executive president of Criminon in Holland?" angle.
More than anything, this clearly shows how friggin' desperate they are to staff positions in their organization. I mean... wow... this psycho was in their top-ranking management there? D'oh! This is a uniquely valuable PR opportunity. Since Criminon is a supposedly secular organization, we can rake them over the coals about this and they can't play the worn-out "religious bigotry" card.
