Philadelphia Scientology's Protest FAIL

Our story begins on 4/12 on the 1300 block of Chestnut St. in Philadelphia. Anon's had been out since 9am this morning, but our first picture will begin at 10:28am.



CoS permit began at 9am in the morning...BUT WHERE IS OUR PROTEST?! ITS NOWHERE TO BE SEEN?

Anon's case the area, making sure no Anon's are showing up at City Hall randomly.

We come back at 11:15AM to find this!



CoS on Chestnut St is OPEN FOR BUSINESS!

Finally some action...Phillyfags arm their cameras and start shooting.

11:20am -- First Scilon problem strikes...how does banner work? How does tape work? Three Scilons attempt to solve this issue.



11:30am -- Banner is up, time to go inside and discuss things. While waiting on old-scilon to arrive.

11:45am -- Update on MEST, looks like OT8 cant stop rain from falling on protest day. Bruce is not sure MEST also covers tape+banner+window application.



12:01pm -- Bruce Comes out with his camera. Apparently the past hour of us shooting him and his fellow scilons has gotten to him. He has noticed that we are in plainclothes garb and not afraid of him, sans mask. Decides to come out and shoot pictures. Phillyfags laugh at his receeding hairline, and his attempt to scare us off with photography.

Baconator, your problem is bats?! What sort of bats? Sport related bats, like baseball or the flying kind, like vampire bats?

What a truly bizarre thing for them to say is your problem!

12:02pm -- "Protest" has begun. Old Scilon has brought out table and tablecloth, others bring out fliers. Anons are laughing as we find out what is on the actual website that is listed on the banner. Did you know that a street name for Ritalin is Diet Coke? Anon tells Civil Affairs. Civil Affairs laughs.

12:11pm -- Bruce caught in a compromising position. When he gets thirsty he enjoys drinking from his sippy cup. Lulz ensue.



12:24pm -- Now, I'm NOT happy about this one imparticular. I notice that Aggravated scilon mother goes, grabs more fliers, and walks down to the corner. I grab one other camera-anon and follow behind. When I get there, I find Scilon family on the corner, talking to people. What I notice, however, shocks me. The pictures speak for themselves. Anonymous points this out to the family. Mother turns, looks at father, and knows she is in the wrong. Following three pictures are in sequence.





Now, this is my personal opinion, but you don't bring small children to protests, and you CERTAINLY don't give them literature they have no idea as to what it pertains to, and certainly not at an age when they cannot fathom the contents. Look at her, she is no more than 3 at most. And I have news for you, BOTH children had the fliers.

Anywho, Scilons flee back to the safety of their table/building.

12:31pm -- Children still handing out fliers to public. Parents, (er...father) still proud as ever.


12:43 -- Scilons decide that the best tactic is to put the child IN FRONT of the table. How wise. Push fliers with children. Assholes.


In reviewing the pictures, it ends up being that from the beginning of the protest, Scilons were using children to push fliers. This is from 12:07pm.

Thanks for the photojournalism. Them are some epic drug haters. Telling it in words would not be the same.

12:46pm -- Call for reinforcements from Scilons goes out...Green Whale and Young Failure of an Enturbulator come out.



And its 12:50pm, lets get a Flier status.

Humm...doesn't look like too many fliers have been given out. And our kids...yup, still giving out fliers.

Yes, our Scilon friends packed up and ran away!! An hour long protest! And they ran!!

But what of all those fliers?

Well....You know how anonymous likes to give out hugs. Well, Anonymous stood on the streetcorners outside of the protest zone and made a deal...free hugs for the Scilon fliers. Let's just say, we weren't let down by Mr. and Mrs. John Q. Public.

And how do we know the Scilons didn't return? Simple...Anon stayed there for the rest of the day.

So, lets review.

CoS's permit times: 9am until 7pm.
CoS's protest: 12:00pm until 1:00pm
CoS's pamphlets given out: Hardly any, most ended up in the trash can.
Number of Children exploited by CoS: 2

Members informed that CoS was a cult, and that Anonymous loves them: OVER 9000!

An EPIC win for Anonymous. Start up the propaganda machine. These were only SOME of the images from 4/12. I have TONS more. I just picked the few that I thought would convey the FAIL of CoS on 4/12, in as few images as possible :).

I can't believe that place was actually OPEN...when we went in March I could swear it was a shitty rundown building with nothing in it. I mean it still is, but Im amazed theyre using it.

Can I just say, that girl in the blue dress is TOO OLD FOR A PACIFIER. Srsly, is this how the Scilons shut their naggy kids up? Let em suck on dummies til they're ten? pacifiers are to develop the muscles in the face until about the age of 2.5 years. A child of over 3 does NOT need one. That's just fucked up. I love how they had them in their mouths practically the whole protest. I can imagine the parents:

Mom: "What if Darla and Marla talk about our crazy cult to passersby as they're giving out fliers?"

Dad: "We'll shove some pacifiers in their mouths, then they can't answer questions."

Srsly, that girl had the pacifier in her mouth THE ENTIRE TIME. No child wants to suck on a pacifier that long, specialkly not a four-year old. The 12:31 picture actually makes me sick...the poor girl looks like she's wearing a really adorable little GAG, to keep her from talking to the public. Child development experts worldwide are aghast.

What kind of permit did the CoS get for the location that impeded the permit for our protest, and is this hour long tabling a misuse of city time and paperwork?
Something you might want to go to city hall with.
