Anyone else think they are trying to use the current controversy as an advertising tool? People tend to be curious about things that have been in the news as controversial, and therefore maybe more interested in reading the book. I hope it fails.

I don't know too many cities/towns or states for that matter that don't have peddlers license requirements for selling anything on the streets.

Even at the schools and churches the book drives have to be organized by a person that has a peddlers or sales license through a company. :shrug:


Most stores that bring merchandise onto the streets have to have it within a certain amount of feet from their store front or get a special license to sell at fairs or other off-location sites.


Anons in each state should check their regulations for peddling outside or away from a storefront and then ask to see the license. Many cites/towns require the license or special license to be prominently displayed and/or shown on request.

I'm almost certain that they're going to require you to identify yourself and then find your name on their roster of Scientologists before they give you any info.

If they do give you any info before asking you to identify yourself, I would suspect it would be misinformation meant to send us to the wrong sites.
