How/Why did you start protesting with Anonymous?

This is my story. My mother died of lung cancer resently despite not smoking and being very healthy. After her passing I swore I would do what ever I could to keep others from feeling the pain I did ,so I looked more into doing charity work. I am planning on doing a big charity even for cancer in September.A friend showed me a video of COS being rick rolled after the funeral ,so I thought I would look into what the fuss about. I knew for the longest time that COS member where crazy ,but I used to think they where harmless. I learned I was very wrong. I know this a worthy cause ,witch I look foward to helping however I can. I know people have lost the ones the love due to this cult ,and felt this same pain I did when It could have been stopped.
I know my mother in heaven will be able to see me behind my mask ,and I know she will be very proud.

Whats your storie?

I heard about the web attacks and thought a giant raid against a target the size of Scientology was brilliant. I was a big fan of closing the movie theater in Sweden, and the Hal Turner raids. I wanted to be a part of a large gathering of Anons, who by process of our anarchistic manic nerd rage, tore down a bastion of insanity and false order.

I got pissed off after the Tom Cruise video was removed from my previous youtube channel, and knowing their suppressive ways even before then, I was so happy to see that they were finally getting theirs. As soon as I heard about Feb. 10th, I immediately went and protested.

I get big Lulz from any organization that epic fails at censorship.

For the chicks.


Also, because I have a natural compulsion to seek justice and protect the weak. The surreal and humor aspects put it over the top.

Lets face it, this is the best IRLRPG to date-- in real life role playing game.

I'm an ex-$cilon and had no clue what was going on in the cult until I started researching on the internet. And here I am and here I'll stay til the cult is brought down.

What initially pissed me off were the Scilons' attempts to destroy psychiatry. I, and a number of people I know, probably would be one hell of a lot more fucked up than I am (or even dead) were it not for the good folks over at Pfizer. "Industry of Death" my ass.

Then I read about Operations Snow White and Freakout, and decided that Scientology had no place in a modern society.

because cults are bad.

Before my philosophy class started on tuesdays and thursdays, I would show up early with my laptop and cruise around 4chan. One of those days I happened apon a "call to arms" post on /b/ and I looked further into it, finding enturb and the other satellite sites. After having just finished a terrible semester (physics, calculus II (repeat), and a logic class that was ill-taught) I wanted to be part of something that would distract me from the university's schedule of depressing and demotivating classes.

I didn't know or care much about Scientology. Just a bunch of wierdos that I can ignore if they stop me in the street.

Then I read about an Anonymous protest on a BBC news site. Curious, I wondered what motivated groups of people to protest about it. So I delved, and came across a few sites like xenu.net.

I was shocked. Not just how wacky some of their beliefs were, but some of the crimes they committed in the name of their 'religion'.

I couldn't sit back and do nothing. Not in my city, not in my country, not on my planet. I had no choice but to lend my voice to Anonymous, and do whatever I could to help expose Scientology for the fraud it really is.

'Read about the epic dramas from day one on Encyclopedia Dramatica, it's where I get my condensed and paraphrased lulzy internet drama. I followed Chanology at first, idling in the IRC channels, watching individual webistes pop up and whatnot until the idea for a real life protest came up.

So, there I was on February 10th hanging out with people I'd only talked to briefly on the internet before, handing out flyers I'd made in shoopyshop. I have gone to pretty much every other raid because I'm poor. Screw sickness though, I showed up with friggin Pneumonia to April's Fiesta.

And now here I am actually motivated to fight for something. It all started as a stance of basically believing Scientology was a group of whack jobs (when I was 15 I thought they had a right to their religion until I realized they sell their materials, but I was a dumb.) to realizing Scientology has done a lot of criminal things in their past, continue to berate critics, sell religious texts, blackmail people with auditing records, and destroy family ties among other things.

And it's not so bad here, in moralfag land. I still do it primarily because I get my lulz by seeing swift, legal kicks in the ass come to those who deserve it.

I have always despised 4chan and all of its followers. I haeted them with a passion (hacked my comp). [other side note, no my girl didnt leave me because she thought I was cheating on her with men]. I was like that ex-anon fag on the video, I wanted to stop them. But I watched a southpark episode making fun of scilons, so I figured "that can't be true, I gotta do some moar research". When I did all of my research, from ex-scilon sites to the scientology home page, I was disgusted. How can a sane person do that to anyone? I found myself getting angrier the more I though about it.

A few weeks later, I forgot about the whole ordeal. Then, when I was browsing some youtube videos, there was this one. I would linx, but I completely forgot the name (I was doing a good long youtube marathon) and there was a scilon crying up in the window. All the anons were out there protesting and the camera man said "WE CAN SAVE YOU!"

That really changed my mind about all 4chan and anonymous. I am proud to say that I will be attending the 7/12 raid.
