All this stuff should be scanned for our future use. When thats finished, stuff all of it into the prepaid mailing envelope that acompanys most junk mail and send it back to them. If no prepaid envelope is available, either throw it our, or try to reseal the original and mark it return to sender. Or better yet, collect it all and eventually one will have the prepaid envelope. Stuff it ALL into one and send it back. They get charged by weight.

The post office just throws that stuff away. Read the thread on How to cost Co$ $200.00 a day. We were gonna send them bricks and tires and stuff but someone posted the PO's rules so it's a no go unless you have a prepaid LABEL. But you CAN stuff the prepaid envelopes with crap or better yet Anonymous fliers, like someone else on here said.

MY junk mail from Co$ is gold to me now! lol

If I read all this I'd go to the nearest "Church" to get myself into their database just for the lulz...

Don't cut metal, that's stupid. We've discussed this somewhere, their prepaid envelopes are good for up to 70 pounds, (very roughly, 30 kg), and can be taped to a box.

I just got the Dianetics sell-athon mag with 2 cd's of "The Basics" along with info on the L's. I get ATLEAST 2 things per day. Unfortunately, I don't have a scanner.

As a matter of fact, data protection act is applicable to whole EU. It's ideal for this kind of spamming as you can be sure they have info about you (name, address ...) see thread couple posts above ;)

I've been getting a lot of that, too. Ironically, I've gotten a lot more since I've started going to the protests. I think they count the people who took the "Free Personality Test" as members.

Is there anything we can do in the US to cut their shit out of our mail?

I do send them fliers in their envelopes but the idea about making it weigh more intrigues me.

The problem you may be having is that you are on multiple org mailing lists. And could be on each of these lists multiple times.

There is no "centralized list" for the orgs. Well, actually, there is, but the inidividual service orgs also have their own addresso databases and that is who they mail to. These lists wind up being given to other/higher orgs, and that is why you will often get promo from orgs you have never been to or even heard of.

Let's say you buy a book from the Portland org. You will be on Portland's list. A higher org like ASHO can then get Portland's list and incorporate it into their list. Flag may get ASHO's list AND Portland's list. Then centralized addresso gets Portland's list, ASHO's list AND Flag's list.

If these orgs themselves have your name spelled two different ways, or have you under a maiden name and a married name, that just increases the duplication on these lists. You will be on all of these lists times two or three.

So, the same person could be on the central addresso list 10 or 15 times.

This is one reason why it's so hard for a person to stop receiving church mail. You get a promo piece and the return address says Portland Org. You send the piece back to them and tell them to take you off their list. They may or may not do it, but even if they do, you are still on Flag's list, ASHO's list and on Central Addresso's list.

Recently I think the church has done a better job of cleaning up duplicates, mostly because the post office now has requirements regarding updating and clean up of mailing lists. In the 80s and early 90s it was really bad. Orgs did an extremely poor job of getting rid of their duplicates, and it would quite often happen that one person would get 20 copies of the Auditor magazine.

The only way I know of to get off of all the org mailing lists is to send a nasty letter to RTC. If you can get it on an attorney's letterhead, even better. RTC would then telex all the orgs and tell them to take this person off of their list.

This used to work, anyway, when there were actually staff in RTC. Who knows these days.
