Hijack the CCHR and turn it against the CoS!
The CoS puppet org CCHR (Citizens Commission on Human Rights) is gearing up for another summer of condemning psychiatrists as Nazis, etc. For a group controlled by the Clams they sure have an ironic name, don't they? Human Rights?
So let's get our hands on the fliers the CCHR produce and hijack them. What I propose is we produce our own, visually indistinguishable from CCHR's, but highlighting the inhumane treatment of CoS members. Slave camps, malnutrition, sleep deprivation, forced abortions, suicides, deaths, etc. All verifiably linked to the Clams in some way. Same layout, same colours, same fonts, same amount of text, images given the same treatment. Perhaps even their own logo and contact information if we're feeling saucy. Then when the CCHR comes to our towns to set up their Museum of Torture or whatever it's called, or to 'protest' psych conventions, we flank them a block in each direction and hand out the fliers. Scilon Puppet: "Sir, would you like to know more about the crimes of the psychiatry indus—"

Any illegality here? If not, then yes yes yes. They're bringing their shit to London, and I for one would love to derail it.

Why even follow one of their events. We could set up our own exhibit

I'm sure it'd be protected by parody statutes, and if the information is entirely accurate and the wording careful, there'd be no risk of libel.
Even if it's not in the clear, who exactly would the CoS send a cease and desist to? We're anonymous mawfaws!

Fair use will cover satire.
That doesn't mean they wont sue you though if you use their logos. |

Why not just make our own Marcab CCHR? Lets say its 'Cosmic Citizens for Human Rights' and then proceed to follow the other CCHR around. Their mission is to out phycs, ours will be to out them.

I can help you word those flyers in a way that people will GET it.
CCHR is all about ELIMINATING CHOICE. Right now, it's people's right to CHOOSE meds/psychs or not and that has to be where you place the focus. It's a virtually indestructible position. |

Re: Hijack the CCHR and turn it against the CoS!
I like this idea. In an effort to be more convincing, I'd suggest using the name Citizens Concerned for Human Rights. The eye will be more likely to skip over the minor discrepancy in the second word.
Also, it's probably a bad idea to mention their CCHR in any of the literature. We want this to be about Scientology. (Yes, I know, but I'm going somewhere with this. Hold on.) If they get wise to it, they will either have to keep their mouths shut or betray the connection between the CoS and CCHR. Also, it's likely to confuse people.

Re: Hijack the CCHR and turn it against the CoS!
Alright then!
Concerned Citizens for Human Rights is a win name too. I don't know if fair use will let us get away with just changing the wording on their logo, but we should have some fun with it anyway. It's a hand holding up a justice scale, mebbe we can have it \m/_ instead. (Not linked/posted due to obvious reasons, and I don't have an image host atm.) Anyone know what their most current pamphlets look like? They just had a big fake protest in Israel, any anons there grab a stack?

Excellent idea, our logo can be mildly different to avoid copyright issues. There is no law against telling the truth.

Re: Hijack the CCHR and turn it against the CoS!
It's a very good idea, just make sure you've spoofed it well enough. If it says, anywhere on it, that the CCHR wrote any of the words your spoof you could face a lawsuit... or five.
On another note there's a better way to hijack the cchr, and it's either push them to fight for truly humanitarian cause (expose the CoS) or expose them as a front organization by exposing their unwillingness to fight anything other than "psych abuse". I like the second one better Joke: They should rename themselves "Citizens Raging Against Psychology" "C.R.A.P." |
