Now... your job here is to sit and just imagine ways to get the scammer to go bother the Scilons instead of you. After all, the CO$ has more money than you.

Part of the deal is that to "get" the money, they have to start wanting to become a Scientologist. Kinda like joining The Church Of The Red Breast.

Then imagine sitting back and watch the scammers battle it out with each other.

NO WAY do you ACTUALLY do this, of course. Even though I can't think of a single law that would be broken here (someone let me know what that would be, if otherwise).

We might as well consider it "for entertainment purposes only" just to be on the safe side.

I love the gallery on 419 Eater! lol I recently got a Nigerian e-mail and was thinking about what fun it would be to reply back. Like for instance that I wasn't able to do what the Nigerian requested but I knew someone who was. A $cilon ethics officer sprang to mind. lol Or a CCHR administrater. This was just a thought mind you. :)

I was going to do this a few months ago, basically give them my name and address, which happened to be the name and address of the leader of the mission here, and tell them that this was my work email, my actual email was <insert scilons email>

I didn't do it because it would obviously be blamed on anonymous if some nigerian scammer got his phone number and address, since he had BAWWed before about that info being in our possession (despite him putting it online himself on a newsletter AFAIK)

I used to bait, and this seems like the one chance to make it worth the while. Of course, though, it would be baaad to pit incredibly greedy people against one another. That's just not what we do, right? Especially when it apparently has no legal ramifications (if one baits safely).

Since these actions are so clearly against the spirit of this "movement", they shouldn't be discussed on public boards, either. What were you thinking, OP, planting ideas like this in the heads of nice upstanding people?

Yes, I think you people totally should NOT do this. It's worse than these prank calls to orgs. I repeat, do NOT do this. What is wrong with you guise.

Oh surely the Most Ethical People on Earth would be able to to resolve the overts of a 419 scammer
