Operation: Secret Deal Enturbulation
Few people outside of Anon really know about the Secret 1993 tax deal giving $cientology tax free status and special exemptions. Someone suggested that maybe this deal happened because the Clintons wanted favorable press in the $cientology filmed movie Primary Colors.
Since there's an election going on right now, asking if the Clintons made a deal over this would garner national media exposure and be a win for us, because it would put the tax deal front and center stage. Harpoons away! I can see this headline on Drudge. |

Major Boyle,
While I like the idea you have any dox to back this up? That would be the first step, beyond wild tinfoil speculation I haven't found anything if you know of something substancial let us all know. Kinda hard to do anything more without facts though. |

Re: Operation: Secret Deal Enturbulation
Informing the public about the IRS deal is awesome. But the Clinton thing is just so much tin foil. Maybe Limbaughhhhhhahahahah or someone would go for it, but frankly, WTF, stick to the facts; they are super intense any way you look at it. Scientology has greater religious protection than any other faith. That's wrong, Congress needs to be informed.

Re: Operation: Secret Deal Enturbulation
If I had the proof that the deal was politically motivated, it would be front page news. By merely asking a question, this is something journalists might want to investigate.
I find it hard to believe that the $cilons could successfully intimidate the church into getting tax free status, since Federal law makes it a crime to harass Federal employees. If, however, the Clintons made this deal and told the IRS to go along with it,that would make much more sense. Still, fodder for the journos. |

Re: Operation: Secret Deal Enturbulation
Do you mean the whole "we'll give you tax exempt status if you give us 12 million dollars" deal they cut with the IRS? The one that violates the establishment clause of the first amendment and yet still goes unpunished?

Re: Operation: Secret Deal Enturbulation
The deal was motivated by the IRS. Scientology did make a pay off. My understanding is that the deal did not require presidential approval. Your "If Clinton made this deal" is clouding the importance of the having BEEN made.(especially because you are saying "the Clintons."
Who cares if it was Clinton, Bush or Reagan who was president at the time. The IRS official wasn't "harrassed" more like "motivated" and who knows by what--but John Travolta playing Clinton certainly isnt much of a motivation, IMO. Sounds like, you just dont like either Hilll or Bill, and that's your opinion, cool. Just right now, partisan politics are not the point re IRS/co$. During an election season, journos are busy either busting co$ via FACTS (Freewinds, ECK, etc) or doing political coverage. if you are convinced of that such deal went down, write Rush, or Bill Reilly, the LaRouchers, or other right wing commentators and convince them yourself. To me, and I love a good conspiracy, it's tin foil in a huge way, and thus a blinding troll to the FACT that Sci has special privileges.

Re: Operation: Secret Deal Enturbulation
You miss my point. How can you intimidate the Federal government when they can throw your ass in jail at the drop of a hat? There are lots of laws that can be used to go after obnoxious $cilon lawyers.
Suppose, however, the Clintons got wind of Primary Colors and didn't want it to protray them in too unflattering a light. They tell the $cientologists: "Make these changes to the film and we'll give you tax exempt status". It's entirely plausible. I don't buy the idea that somehow the IRS commissioner got tired of lawsuits and decided to forgive nearly a billion dollars in back taxes just to get rid of a nuisance. During an election year, jounos invetigate rumors. What better than "Clintons may have conspired with $cientologists to give a litigious cult a billion dollar secret tax deal." |

Re: Operation: Secret Deal Enturbulation
Unique tax exempt status seems like a pretty big payoff in exchange for looking good in a movie...

Re: Operation: Secret Deal Enturbulation
We need a DC Anonymous to head over to the IRS public viewing room(or something like that, it's open to the public, and in Washington, DC), and request any information on the Church of Scientology's tax-exemption. Evidently, it's a matter of public record, and is available to anyone who wants to know.
We need someone to get those dox, and if they can't get those dox, the Scilons just foot-bulleted themselves with open lies. |
