Is it time to pay attention to non-$cientology places?

Really... you gotta think that $cientology, as it is being squeezed in existing places, will start to cast a eye at virgin territory. I'm not only talking places like India, but places like my home town- in Canada- that doesn't have a $cientology center or anything $cientology.

Don't you think it'd be a good idea to start putting together flyers/pamphlets that have a preventative message?

I was just thinking of doing something like this, to maybe start flyering neighbourhoods in my hometown. But it can't be the standard fair, more like a PSA or something.

Any thoughts?

$cientology already has its hands in Canada.
In Trois-Rivieres; they have taken over many schools, and are teaching some applied schoolastics in classes, and some teachers hand out narc-anon panphlets to their students.

The Co$ may not have as huge of a stronghold as it does in the U.S.
But they have set roots here, are large, and have been growing.
I am uncertain of their situation as of now; if they are still growing or not.
(Hell. they baught a building in down-town Montreal for 4.5 million in cash.)

It's an idea to think about. However, I think that preventative flyering by ourselves will prove counterproductive as it will only raise people's awareness of the cult. I suspect that many people will forget what we pass out. I would leave it to the media to bad press the $cilons in these small town locations.

HOWEVER,

If we discover that these smaller locations are frustrating our attempts to 'starve the beast' then we should take action. Right now, I feel as if they are a negligible part of the entire system in terms of $$$.

Just an FYI, many missions listed on the link do not in fact exist any longer.
The Burbank, California one is now a dog groomers.

So if you are unsure or curious, do a drive by (with caution) to make sure.

I know this... maybe I should be more clear.

In my hometown (not country) there is currently no $cientology presence.... zero, zip, nada... I'm sure there are other communities in Canada, the U.S.A., the U.K., Australia, France, Germany, Finland etc. etc. that also have no $cilon presence... but $cientology have bases in those countries.

I'm saying rather than waiting for the $cilons to show up before we do anything... do something preventative. No I don't know if the $cilons will target my community... they may never but if they do I'd like for them to meet a well educated community. One that will be hostile to their attempts to make a foothold.

Having preventative literature, of some sort, geared towards prevention and maybe advice on how they can help Anonymous- even though there is no $cilon influence- I think should be a next step. How many times have we heard someone on here say, they want to help but there are no $cilons in their area. Well this gives them something to do, something that will help their community, raise awarness and maybe recruit new Anonymous.

I'm probably gonna come up with flyers or something that I can slowly hand out via mail boxes (No protest just flyering to each household) but what I'd like is some brainstorming on what to put in a flyer/pamphlet or maybe any other ideas that Anonymous can come up with.

Uhh... Wouldn't raising awareness be productive in that we can get more involvement and thus larger raidz and pose a (literally) larger threat to Co$ (and steal all their potential cult recruits lawl).

Re: Is it time to pay attention to non-$cientology places?

Start leaving YFTC.com cards in various places. I don't know how large your community is, but without a Co$ presence already I think it is better to just lead people to a place where they can start the same journey many of us started in January. As Anonymous vs $cientology gains more publicity, hopefully your community will get innoculated by the press and it will make your job easier.

Keep your eyes and ears open for any news of Co$ trying to invade your town. When that happens, recruit some help and start spreading the news.

Where I live we have a mission and it is just a house on a highway so we can't protest there. When I talk to friends, family, co-workers about it, they pretty much don't care because it isn't an issue here. They listen and they are horrified but until $cientology has a larger presence here, no one really gives a damn unless it is an interesting video or celebrity gossip.

I've thought about this issue a little bit more, and I think that YFTC's are a good start for a project like this. Pique their curiosity and let those who would come to us. Sticking literature in their faces will most likely get a very negative reaction. Like the post above says, for these people, $cientology simply is not on the radar. It is a non-issue.

I think it's good to go to places where lots of young people gather. For example, the beach:

Why not Tom Cruise's production offices at United Artists? He & the Scilons would have a major freakout.

United Artists Executives:

* Co-Owner and CEO - Paula Wagner
* Co-Owner (age 45) - Tom Cruise

Headquarters:
10250 Constellation Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90067
United States

Re: Is it time to pay attention to non-$cientology places?

To be 100% honest with all of you guys, if there is no scilon presence then i would just leave it alone. People in a small community are more than likely to have set religious status already. Hence they prolly have 1 maybe 2 churches in their town. Plus we all know scilons are only after world domination and MONEY.

Those people are pretty much impenetrable and believe in what they believe in. The media from the bigger cities and such will more than likely spread the awareness for the people in these towns if they even care at all.

Where the main focus is needed is in big cities and cities that have a cultural sway of people. I.E. New York, LA, and other big cities of the sorts.

If you live in a city with a mission or a "lazy" org just go out and flier raid big events that happen so often in the city. For instance in Boise there is a mission/org not sure(?), but anyways they do absolutely nothing for promotion and are extremely shocked when we come and protest in front of the building. Also when the press is alerted on these raids it has not been the best press for us but leans more towards the Scilons.

We found it best to do flier raids here and there and leave the YFTC.com cards all over the place. Our force has grown but kind of on the underground. Last flier raid we did a guy asked who we were and i said anon and he said glad to see you guys out.

Word is spreading but don't go looking for fights or plague a town with something that they have no interest in what so ever.

Re: Is it time to pay attention to non-$cientology places?

"Warning signs of a cult" (just google it for a list) would be a good flyer for a university town, since it would help innoculate the students against Scientology and various other high-demand groups. Meetup.com skeptic groups would be a possibility for local activism against whatever issue bugs you. One city had an always-silly parade, and the local skeptics built and marched with a "Flying Spaghetti Monster." I know Anonymous is not anyone's private army, and I'm not trying to distract you from Scientology; but exploring other groups can give you ideas and experience that you could bring back here. You could also picket or meet as yourself if you are working on non-Scientology issues, since almost no other group is as legally radioactive as CoS.
