On that, there is a Scientology/SeaOrg based version of that. Was written by a UK old guard ages ago. The man is unfortunately dead now, but was told that at least the lyrics could be found spread around the internet, if someone is up for searching. Should be some other songs he did rewrites on as well.

(Sorry, can't remember the name of the guy right now.)

A protest outside City Hall could be very good - we may well get more press that way too.

So how many "yus"s can I hear for morning by City Hall, afternoon on TCR?

Can we do YMCA type arm movements that spell out CULT?

Awesome or medication – you decide

City Hall is a good idea, will the fuzz be cool with that?

There would probably be more people to give flyers to than at QVS, although I don't suppose anyone will be in the building on a Saturday.

I like the idea of turning QVS into a huge boat though - Might we need to do QVS depending on the outcome of ENG's court hearing (if it happens before then), what happens with the City of London Police and what the press are saying about it all?

It'd be good if a load of us could get on a boat up the Thames to the Embankment and then get the tube to TCR from there.

How much would a boat cost instead? Or am I just getting carried away with the idea of becoming a pirate?

The private hire ones are super expensive, the main tourist-y ones are still like 20 quid a ticket. Isn't there that Tate one or something, the one with the multi-coloured polka dots...

Also, YMCA style C U L T = definatly awesome.

TATE BOAT:
Travelcard holder: £2.60
Adults: £4
Tate Members: £3
Children under 16/Freedom Pass holders: £2
Under 16th with travelcard: £1.30
London Student Card: £2.60

Re: London

Hmm... Note to self -- next time, bring:

bin bags. Lots of them. Big ones;
liquid soap;
non-soap handwash or those wipe thingies;
lots of small plastic bags;
more fruit;
maybe less caek.

Plus water, sunscreen, and the brolly. The sun is evil and must be punished!

Oh, and can I suggest something? Sunshine + chocolate caek = melty ickiness. Yeah, I know it's heresy to suggest chocolate or caek is anything other than epic win, but maybe Battenburgs or ginger caek, something that's less prone to be the sun's bitch?

Also had a thought for a good comparison for next month while I was in the shower (get your minds out of the gutter, pervs!): The Swiss Guard.

Basically, Joe Q Public may well look at us and say, "So, Scientology's got its own navy. The Pope has the Swiss Guard, and they have wacky uniforms, and Catholicism does some weird shit. So what?" The answer, of course, is that the Swiss Guards have to be adults to join, do actual jobs (they're the Vatican's police force), get *paid* properly, work decent hours, can get married, and don't have to serve the Pope for a billion years (and on and on). They just wear uniforms based on the Medicis: they *look* silly, but *aren't* silly. Or am I just being weird...?

Just up the River from City Hall and the Belfast is the Golden Hind - a perfect pirate ship, me hearrrrties.

Would be sporting to check the owners were cool with us hanging around getting photos first though.

I'm liking the idea of new serious Boris meeting a pirate delegation.

But Sir Francis Drake was a privateer! </HistoryGeek>

And yeah, Boris meeting with more than 9000 pirates would be awesome. What do pirate wenches wear?

I'm probably going to bring a cooler box to the next protest, then buy the lollies/drinks/caek there. Voila! No more melting. Simspons ice cream at TCR turned to mush before I could get my hands on one

We could get a Thames Clipper from just by HMS Belfast to just outside the London eye (then we could take the Northern line straight up). This would only cost £4 per person - or less if you have a travelcard and/or london based student card.

EDIT:
Can someone also tell me who's speaking to the police now? I've read that anony-nony-no is stepping down for whoever was doing it before to take back over - but I can't remember who that was and nobody in the thread seems to be taking much charge...

Eclipse is apparently going to resume duties - not sure if that will be in time for the 14th though, we shall need to see

Re: London

I've spoken to the captors of Pedobear and they've agreed he *could* be released for this event if we want.

We'd have to keep a eye on him, keep him back from the childrens etc, but could be an Epic Win. Or would he detract from our focus?

Thoughts guys?

So does that mean that anony-nony-no is going to deal with organising the 14th or do we not have planning to speak to the police about 14th yet?
