London Raids - change needed?

I've just got back from London having been to the raid. I have to say that the quality of the raids has been declining in the last few, and this one was a massive drop. I'm being overly critical here so feel free to flame away, but these are things that I noticed.

- There were far to many sound systems and megaphones, up until now although there have been several they've all been mostly in the same place and there has been some level of agreement as to what's being done. Yesterday it was a massive competition to play the loudest random internet meme song. Which takes me on to point 2:

- It's great to have 'our' music to play, it's good for a sense of solidarity because Anonymous has no structure,and so we need things that we have in common. Rickrolling, You are a Pirate, stuff like that it all good, but playing realy obscure stuff just alienates us to the public. There was too much 'injoking' going round. I know we're here for the lulz, but there's a task to achieve as well.

- There were no $cifags at all yesterday. They weren't recording, they weren't out handing out flyers and talking to people, there was only a skeleton staff in the shop and I didn't recognise any of them. They've obviously changed their tack, so we need to change ours. It wasn't anywhere near as lulzworthy to be protesting without anyone to bounce off.

- There seem to be less people handing out flyers, less 'Ask me why I'm wearing the mask' signs, less interaction with the public. It's become a carnival, and feel free to call me a moralfag, maybe I am, but I'm more than happy to be involved in the lulz, but Anonymous possibly got bored of creating swastigets in Habbo hotel, and decided to do something practical, and now it's got bored of that as well. Which predictable brings me to point three:

- Yeah yeah, anarchy rules and all that, but trying to drown out speeches and recordings with loud death metal or obscure dance tracks? That's not very productive, and you think that $cifags won't use a schism to their advantage?

Basically, and this is summed up for the TL:DR crowd (BTW, cheers to anyone who liked my OTIII placard) I think that yesterday was poor, we need to change our plans, and this newfag oldfag shit is internet faggotry of the very highest form.

I haven't had chance to think up any other alternatives to the current system but I'm sure that between everyone, Anon will provide.

I agree, but a friend of mine was along for the first time yesterday, who doesn't use the net much, doesn't know anything about memes, and he felt alienated and won't be coming again. Now, I think that he's an undedicated tit but that doesn't alter the fact that if we're doing that to the public then surely we lose the message.

The soundsystems were the best yet. It was loud, good quality and there was some decent stuff going out. If you have a problem with the playlist, invest in your own system. If you have a speech to make or an interview, ask nicely or go somewhere else to do it.

In fact this applies to just about all your suggestions. If you want a certain KIND of leaflet then print your own. If you want certain signs, make some and hand them out. This was a great protest. Yes we can do better but YOU must make it better. Think. Create. Act. Bawwww less.

I was at the back of the crowd for a lot of it, handing out MY leaflets, handing out OTHER PEOPLE'S leaflets, talking to the people walking past, especially those who were clearly confused by the message. If you were also doing this and not dancing to fucking Battletoads then you have every right to criticize me.

Wow, I love the moaning about flyers. I've printed out literally thousands of flyers in the past, and you know what? They cost money, time and effort. I don't mind doing it if and when I have the means to, but maybe other people (read: BAWWWWWing OP) could make some of their own instead of whining about it.

Edit: and I leave my leaflets for other people to hand out because I prefer filming and dancing to fucking Battletoads. Plz to be posting moar finely worded critiques of protest tactics.

Thank you for your polite disagreement. I love the music, but I like to spread the message as well, and I think that was lost a bit yesterday. I'm worried that there were no Co$ areound yesterday and I think that they're up to something.
