Suggestions for signs?

"Scientology doesn't help families."

"Scientology doesn't respect friendships."

"You are not alone."

While the Reconnect theme is fantastic, I don't think we should forget to have the standard signs for the general public (i.e. "Google Operation Snow White", "XENU.NET"). I'm not sure what it was like in other cities but in Toronto, the org looked totally deserted. I'll still have my Reconnect-themed sign but the other side is gonna be more for John Q. to read.

Just a thought.

Our messages must prove (or at least cast serious doubt) to the public as well as scilons that we are not the monsters that the Co$ would have them believe. Merely calling us liars will not cancel out our worldwide cries of compassion and hope that they won't allow a corrupt-as-fuck organization to keep them convinced that "enlightenment" may cost you your family.

"Saving the world" or "reaching a higher plane of existence" are NOT compatible with the act of leaving your loved ones just because they disagree or are concerned.

The world (scilon or not) should know this as well.

Don't quote this, it'll get the bigots on you when they know where it comes from (Matthew 16.26), but I felt it was kind-of appropriate.

For what good will it do a person if he shall gain the whole world, and his soul be tossed away from him? Or what will a person give in exchange for his soul?

Here's a couple I've been considering:

"You don't have to be alone"
"Families belong together"
"Who do you miss?"

And I'm trying to come up with something along the lines of:
Are you afraid?
Why are you afraid?
-to the purpose of pointing out that so many scientologists are afraid of their own peers/leaders, but I don't want it to come off as threatening. Suggestions?

How about something along the lines of "Bridge the gap between you and your family" or "Bridges aren't supposed to separate". Is there a diagram of "The Bridge" anywhere? It might be good to do the "You" and "Delicious Cake" scenario, except with "You" and "Your Family" instead.

i'm not 100% sure you guys realize how un-memed a lot of people are, so to speak... i only just tuned halfway in this year. i'm not sure if that cat sign wouldn't just confuse a lot of people and make them more paranoid...

It depends where you're protesting of course, but a lot of us are going places where the general public is going to outnumber Scilons by several thousands to one. It doesn't make sense for all the signs to be obscure Reconnect-related slogans that the average person won't understand.

"companion cube misses you" on one side with ap icture of companion cube.

the other side with something less meme'ish, "your family misses you" , "have you seen _____", "You're not alone, we want to help you." etc.

i think this is what i'm going with:

side 1: you are loved

you can leave
we can help

side 2: exscientologykids.com
find out what
goes on inside

with more URLs as space allows... if anyone wants to use those, feel free.

i think this theme is the best direction this thing could have gone, honestly. most people i know already think the church of scientology is whack and a cult, but that if people want to spend their $$$ on it it's their business. by making the human side and the damage of it a bigger issue and showing the mental abuse these people are undergoing, we have a better chance of appealing to most people who just don't care one way or the other. plus, i think a big part of obtaining the larger goal is going to be reaching out to dissatisfied elements within the church and letting them know they have alternatives.

i saw there's a poll about what to do next month -- i don't think any of the suggested themes would be as strong as continuing with this one. operation:reconnect could really catch fire with the *cough* mainstream media.
