Tomorrow's Protest: Last Minute Tips and Tricks

Hey guys.

I wanted to hold off on posting these tips to give the Scilons as little time as possible to have counteracting strategies. These are a concatination of all the tips I've seen posted to the forum, plus a few extras that I've been inspired to cook up.

They're all color coded, not for any particular order, just to keep people from getting bored when they read them all. ;)

Dealing with Infiltrators
This sounds like the biggest problem that's recently cropped up. Scilons will merge into the crowd, with three strategies in mind:

• Get personal info on protesters
• Hold up signs outting protesters
• Commit violent/offensive acts in Anonymous' name

Firstly, never ever automatically assume someone is an Infiltrator. Dissention and baseless paranoia is just what the Scilons would want, and it would most definitely hurt our cause.
Common indications for infiltrators are groups with exactly matching costumes (Scilons are not known for their creativity), or the reluctance to hold any signs condemning Scientology (remember, they know they're being videotaped, and the Cult won't take to kindly to any sort of anti-"church" behavior).

Also, and this is bizzare even by their standards, try telling them the story of Xenu from xenu.net; the lower-eschelon Scilons, who're probably the ones stuck out there harassing us, will supposedly catch Pneumonia if they hear the story. Yep, pretty durn weird, but effective.

Lastly, remember the kind of person who *should* be under that cloak/mask; they'll want to talk about their disguise, what they've done to protest in the past, what their favorite Splicer is in Bioshock, etc.
If they talk like someone who's been cut-off from the world (the 'Net), then you can try the Xenu test. Of course, it's your own discretion.



Protest signs will be read by both the good and the evil
Even though I've seen reports saying "Churches" are often abandoned on protest days, it's still important to make Disconnect-positive signage to direct at the building. Say things like "Your mom misses you" or "Your children love you". Short, sweet, and to the point, hopefully jogging the emotions of a brainwashed Scientologist.
For the press/rest of the crowd, signs of a more direct nature, such as "Scientology forces families apart", or "You need premission to see your children in the CoS" would be good.

Also, it's a good idea to bring whiteboard or blank signs, just in case you need to tag a Scilong infiltrator or whip up a new topical sign.


Let's show them how l33ts do it.
Lastly, remember that we're in public out there showing how concerned citizens prevent evil triumphing by not doing nothing. Keep flyers handy and know your Scientologist dogma, so we can refute it and explain the crazier aspects to the media. If you're bull baited, tape the whole thing and put it on Youtube, heck, offer copies to the press. Don't let them get you alone, stay safe, and if anyone threatens you, just yell "police"; there'll be plenty of them around.

Also a reminder to obey police, and if you're asked to give ID in front of a Scilon, say something along the lines of "this man may wish to determine my identity and give it to the Church to harrass me, could you make sure he doesn't see?"

If someone doesn't want to take a poster, be polite. I've read of some Anons yelling "Ignorance is a choice' or something after people who didn't take a flyer. Don't do this. It'll just make us sound like big jerks.

And, clean up after yourself. Protip: five to ten minutes before dispersal, someone with a megaphone should call to have everyone pick up after themselves - any food trash, posters on the ground, etc.
