Re: San Diego, CA
Hey, new Anon here but eager to get involved.
Thought about the protest. If we're gonna be anywhere near the Co$, maybe we can get some prepaid cell phones (cash paid, of course) and offer to let the sciaddicts call their families to reconnect? I figure it'll be good PR and counter the allegations we're all a bunch of Scientology hating terrorists and whatnot. As for the paper notes and cards in books, what about leaving them in non-Hubbard areas with more cryptic messages, directing towards xenu.net a la viral marketing type style. Get more people informed and involved. Pardon the lack of memes, I'm still a bit of an outsider on them. P.S. If there's a vet who could PM me w/basic info on San Diego specific stuff (IRC, etc) to help me acclimate that'd be appreciated. Last edited by anonsoldier; 03-24-2008 at 06:52 PM. 1) random books on spirituality/religion: get the "pilgrims seeking knowledge," they tend to be open-minded soft-hearted types that would be incensed by Co$'s crimes (while being fresh meat for the Corp's bait-and-switch). 2) random self-help books: the other, Dianetics angle of Scientology. 3) random law/justice books. If the person already has a sense of justice... 4) crime novels. No, really. This is like a crime novel. But real. Quote:

Re: San Diego, CA
Woot. Finally back online; had to re-request my password multiple times after the server change. Anyways, USDanon reporting for duty. I wasn't able to be at March 15 but it looked Epic, and I've managed to snag a few V masks. Probable next phase for me will be leaving YouFoundTheCards about campus; any other suggestions?

In terms of cryptic cards: you can order 500 business card (I recommend white on solid black, or black on olid white) for like $3.50. Just order them with nothing but www.youfoundthecard.com printed in bold letters, centered on one side of the card. That would probably be enough for any curious person to do their own investigating. You could try to put more info on them if you want, but when I print my cards, my goal is to make them want to go to the website, which is well formatted and contains much more information than I could fit on a business card. e: just a thought - if any of you are still in school, and have a good relationship with a psych professor, you might want to let them know about what CCHR is doing. Fliers in the psych buildings as students are coming out of class / fliers stuffed in psych books in campus libraries might be a good idea. Getting psych students to realize that Scientology has a front group dedicated to wiping their profession off the map might raise a few eyebrows. Re: San Diego, CA
Cards are on their way. Operation: Torero Enturbulation commences shortly. I'm getting 500 of those suckers, and I'll be making the rounds at an undisclosed time in the not too distant future.
Also, I made a .doc of the "You found the card...now what?" with 10 copies, in case anyone's too lazy/busy to set up a printable format for themselves. http://www.freewebs.com/xenosanonymo...undTheCard.doc Hope it's useful.

We need some anons to spend time in the park, warning ppl about this Scientology trap. They don't mention Scn at those booths. Also, they are illegally using the emeter to diagnose something, which is against the FDA warning. That should be addressed. Plus, a fixed donation for their crappy books is a PRICE. Maybe we can get them booted out of Balboa Park? Anyone want to get with me on this? |

A couple of notes:
1. Xenu is absolutely willing to do whatever is required. As a namefag, I have powerzz you don't. 2. The scilons will not have a booth at Earth Day. However, Anonymous could, and maybe should next year. This year, we could indeed spend a nice day in the park on Earth Day. 60,000 people attended the event last year. Good opportunity to inform. 3. Something, but I forgot what it was. |

I also left some lying around near the computer stations of the library (that was seriously nerve-wracking even though there's no reason a $cifag would be onto me this early into my game) though I doubt they'll make an impact. Still got a stack of them and trying to decide how best to make use of them. I don't have access to the dorms here and don't think I could gain access easily or w/o risking namefagging myself somehow.

You could leave a few on chairs in empty classrooms. Tape them to the side of vending machines. Basically, stick them in places where they're not hard to find, but not super easy, either. If the person found the card in what would appear to be a hiding place, they may be more likely to view it as an accomplishment, and check the URL to see if they get some kind of prize. |

Re: San Diego, CA
Just returned from a fairly successful YFTC run. Thanks for the suggestions, I've either put them into practice or plan on doing so soon. Will continue operations in the near future; for now, what website or company will sell 500 cards for $3.50?
@Injury: I took your suggestion regarding the HP room; wasn't entirely successful (too many people in there at the time) but I did hit the library. Haven't made it to Maher yet but I've been operating in the valley more effectively. Also: I've been tossing around this idea for a poster, and I'm not sure about it; might be too mocking. "OT PHONE HOME." Finally, did we ever do anything about exchanging alternate methods of contact in case of enturbulation of enturbulation.org?

Re: San Diego, CA
Hello all!
ED here. I was the one who wore the sunglasses and ski cap and brought the PA system and the cake. It was a great time! I am an older guy, but young in spirit. Looking forward to April 12th! I should be there again. Working on making the PA set-up a little better an easier to move around. Here is my video I just uploaded on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgImWEMrzUE ED Last edited by EDismycodename; 03-26-2008 at 10:55 AM. Reason: adding link |
