Harlingen, TX
Last protest (or seemingly lack of a lack thereof) was full of fail as I never really noticed anyone at the CoS in Harlingen and thus didn't 'attend'. There is still this remnant though: http://harbl.wetfish.net/cosplay/ at which the event is listed. However, I want April 12th to be effective and successful. I just need the help of my fellow intelligent anons from Harlingen.
Church of Scientology Mission of Harlingen 4301 West Business 83 Harlingen, TX 78552 Tel: 956-365-4020 E-mail: harlingen@scientology.net The March thread for Harlingen is dead, so let's start anew shall we? Yes. How should we go about this? As in, where should we as anon gather/meet before the protest, how to get moar people, etc etc Also, what's the 'law on protests for Harlingen? Do we need a permit or what? Or masks allowed? Si o no? |

Re: Harlingen, TX
Furthermore, can there be some detailed directions for those of us that wish to protest but aren't familiar with the Harlingen area?
My friend and I drove around like crazy trying to find where the the protest was supposed to be to at least show our support for local Anons. On a side note: Kudos to the two nice dudes we met at the mall passing out flyers. Y'all gave me some awesome stuff which I've been trying to distribute around campus but UTB has some really stupid rules which practically prohibit posting and handing out flyers. D: |

Re: Harlingen, TX
In all seriousness, if you can't give out flyers why don't you work around that prohibition and wrap the papers (the flyers) around those bite size candy bars. I think UTB staff/security/whatever are slow on their work like that not to notice.
And it would make most since to have the protest across from the actually "church" itself would it not? That's what I was thinking. For all of us just to meet up around there or would that be too complicated in a way? Hmm... |

That sucks because I suck at giving directions, don't worry though, I'll figure things out by Tuesday after I go over things with my fellow anon acquaintances.

Re: Harlingen, TX
FAIL! I am thoroughly disappointed with the internet. After two weeks of forums failing, I finally got my reregistration emailconfirmationthing. Google also failed at pointing the wrong place on its failmap. Dianetics is actually on BUSINESS 83 a couple of blocks south from the highway, not in some residential neighborhood or at the good samaritan society adult day care place. On the 12th, make sure you take the business 83 exit off the highway. You will know that you're on the right track if there are railroads on one side and a cult on the other. YummyPie and Myself left the $cifags a package where we were confronted. Due to the fact that only 2 anons showed up at the actual protest, it lasted only for an hour. Fliers, however were distributed at the mall parkinglot. Two femanons were found saying that they were also deceived by google maps. An image will later be uploaded with the actual location of the protest and the meeting place for the 12th. To avoid further confusion, If you are the first one there and you're not standing outside of your car with a mask on, make sure other anons can see that you're there and they don't have to continue to drive around aimlessly. This is also to encourage newguys to stick around and not leave.
We must offer tributes to the internet, as we have violated it on the 15th. Let's not let it happen again. |

Re: Harlingen, TX
@ TKP001: Hi. I would be one of those femanons you met at the mall.
Also, I have some interesting/strange news regarding my flyer distribution at UTB. I found out that I can place flyers on the public bulletin boards located in classrooms throughout campus. I spread around the flyers given to me by the two nice anonboys at the Harlingen mall. Two days later I went to check on the flyers and ALL of them were gone, even on boards where I placed like five or six flyers. ![]() It could be that people are getting interested in the cause and taking the flyers OR someone (read: local $cilons) could be taking them down on purpose. I'm going to go to Kinko's later on next week to make some more copies and place more around campus. I want to see if this'll happen again. ![]() |

Re: Harlingen, TX
As soon as someone figures out a time for the protest (very important--and just my two cents let's make it during the day and not at night), and the meeting place can you let me know as soon as possible so I can tell others? I don't like having people speculate and be unsure with the 12th so close and what not. Thanks.

Yep Ingrata, but I wasn't sure if TKP001 was planning it to be at 11 or not.

Re: Harlingen, TX
Affirmative. The protest begins at 11.00 local time as are the standards for the protests.
Location is now confirmed at http://s300.photobucket.com/albums/n...t=AnonMeet.jpg I am glad the activity here on enturbulation has increased greatly. Keep on bringing in new members and everything. Okay, guys. With the Atlantafags arresting anons at random, we need to make sure we don't end up like them. I encourage you to call the harlingen police department at 956-216-5400 to ask about stuff regarding the protest and what measures we should take to avoid confusions of what is illegal or not. Any findings should be posted here. I would very much like to be in full swing this time, so I would like to have everyone call the local media to make sure that we get coverage. The Monitor: 956-683-4000 800-366-4343 KGBT4 News: 956.366.4444 NewsChannel5: (956) 428-5555 (956) 544-5555 Entravision(Fox Rio): (956) 661-6000 (956) 687-4848 Harlingen City Hall Manager: (956) 216-5002 (956) 427-8800 Anonymous has delivered, now do your part. *Edit* The Exit is still Business83 The Street we will be meeting on is still Business83 The Railroad tracks are still on Business83 Last edited by TKP001; 03-31-2008 at 04:01 PM. Re: Harlingen, TX
Alright, so now that location has been cleared up, what about those of us with transportation issues?
Since I'd have to drive up from Brownsville this is a big concern for me. Like I don't want to park too close and get my plates taken down by some Scifag ya know? Is this place near like the mall or somewhere I could safely park and walk to the meeting site? |

Re: Harlingen, TX
We are not going to meet in front of the cult. You can park your car there or around the corner if you want. You can also cover your plates while we protest if that makes you feel safer. The mall is also close, but not really within walking distance. If you can make your car do barrel rolls, then you don't have to worry, as it will deflect light irregularly.

Re: Harlingen, TX
Grats, Harlingenfags.
Nobody showed up. YummyPi and myself showed up at marked map location to find nobody there for the entire first hour, so we packed up and left knowing that since the valley sucks dick, nobody would show up like last time. You fail me once again, Internet. |
