Re: Belfast, NI
Hey. This is my first post here and um...yeah..
I didn't make it to the last two, but I am definatly going to make it for the April One. I hope my mask comes from Forbidden Planet... Oh by the way, for the IRC, if you are using Firefox (which you should be doing) dowload "Chatzilla". Google it. xo |

i can see the banners now "like tits, [s]hate[/s] oppose scientology"... well proably more witty. But yea IRC is like a shittier looking MSN, picture a group convo but less colorful and more like a chat room, plus there harder to use. As for the teens, let me guess 16 years old, blond, millies and whorish and was the colour of an oumpa loumpa (those willy wonka things. I really hate those types they look retarded, i cant see how that's meant to look attractive |

Re: Belfast, NI
there's a different room on Partyvan.info for belfags if we all go there. itr's just IRC.partyvan.info. down atm though
sorry for being away for such a while btw, things to do. doesn't seem like too much's been set in stone tough, so we'll get startd. If someone can mass order a few masks, then just collect the money on the day, or send an email and we can paypal it to them, or is that needlessly complicated? the Scifags won't launch a PR war here. 1) there's too few 2) what with all the publicity about $cientology they've succeeded in keeping their presence in NI pretty low key, they aren't gonna want to break that now. best bet is to just keep the pr machine ticking over until about the fortnight before. If we get the press releases sent out in the next few days, there's no way we'll have missed the deadlines so we need to get that done. Just a bit of rewording. Alternative Ulster's a good bet, and if we want to go a bit viral, something could go in the free ads bit in the smellygraph etc. thoughts? |

Re: Belfast, NI
Don't see how anyone can't connect to the IRC...it's pretty easy. Though I suppose for people it would be a lot easier if we got just each other's MSN.
Mines is: beesandhoneycombs@hotmail.co.uk Oh the AU thing? I friend's dad writes for alternative ulster so maybe I could talk to him about it.. Oh, and would 50 people be too high of a goal to reach? It's quite a good number, though I'm sure we can do it if we just push enough people. When half term starts again I'll convince some people around my school to come and I'll definatly put up posters. xo |

If you are having difficulty getting onto the IRC try on irc.lulzhost.net
I have been using that ever since partyvan went down. |

Re: Belfast, NI
we need to get together somewhere, some sort of chat place, and discuss what we're going to do, and who's going to do it, with regards to publicity and stuff. we can't rely on reporters showing up on the day, we gotta go viral if possible.
also, it would be awesome :D if i'm not making sense, my excuse is that i'm ill. we should put some posters up round Belfast. we need to leaflet the university areas. the foundthesticker idea needs to get going. someone take charge!!! *SKS collapses in a corner* The Common Cold: scientology can help me with this. they're the only ones who can really help. when they see someone sneeze, it's not like anyone else seeing it, they know they have to help. |

Re: Belfast, NI
ok, this is pathetic researchery, but i found some journos who have previously written about the CULT and might be willing to support us, if they were personally contacted. good idea? bad idea? blame the cold. if only i knew their tech, i could be free of the aches and shivers :(
Tony Paterson, David Langton and Paul Vallely @ the Belfast Telegraph have all written about the scilons in the recent past. but it all stopped in January. Alex Kane @ the Belfast Newsletter asked "is it a sinister, dark, schizophrenic, paranoid cult that systematically destroys the lives of members' families and their many detractors..." to which the answer is a big loud YES. he said something about it maybe being misunderstood. tl;dr. i'm liking the Paul Vallely/Alex Kane things, cos it's like Jean Paul Valley and Bob Kane. anything Batman related is a win in this case. i'm a geek. also found this webpage: http://www.takeheed.net/SCIENTOLOGY_a_CULT.htm which would lead us to believe that some sort of church connection could well be founded here. if we were to reach out to this guy, he could help get some sort of God power on our side. Cecil Andrews, PO BOX 13, Ballynahinch, BT24 8AL, Northern Ireland. Telephone/Fax 028 9756 5511. E-MAIL - takeheed@aol.com i hope he doesn't get fairgamed now, lol... i think that's why i have a cold... it's their mystical powers >OT7... alright... let's plan some sort of meeting, even if it is only online, and start doling out tasks and such, and get some sort of gameplan. it's REALLY REALLY close.... we need more internet points from next protest. |
