Mask up before getting off the tube is best... don't go near the protest unmasked is a good rule of thumb. :D You'll see Anon as you get there. Say hi, they all seem like nice people in my experience... |

Oh!
I've seen some posts here discussing Saint Hill as a point of protest. Weird enough I actully live in the middle of East Grinstead and would be quite keen to give people infomation on protest spots. The Org itself as someone stated is in the middle of no where with no exposure, but they have a education front shop in town which is perfect for it. Think I have some pictures of the places somewhere, I'll have a look. |

Honestly, most of us are nice people, at least that's my experience. Wierd how a bunch of masked people are trusted to be nicer than the average London populous.

you don't feel as bound by social mores when people have no idea who you are. sounds weird but when i'm wearing the mask, i'm more inclined to act like a buffoon (see the hug raid on saturday), more inclined to talk to people i don't know, because everyone is in the same position. but we're united by dislike of CoS, and our love as Astley. |

Apologies to fellow Londonfags, I'm been MIA the past week thanks to unrelated shit going down elsewhere.
Update on the PA issue: A Mr. Jens from the OG will be joining us with his homebrew PA in a wheelie cupboard. (Demonstration link here.) It's not going to be anything as epic as some of the systems our US Anons come up with, but I'm told it'll be as loud as the police will let us be. Details in this email response from him: Quote:

Any ideas from Tech Anons on how to improve this are A++. Jens can be reached at jensting[at]tingleff.org .

Awesome, any PA is better than no PA right?
Be useful for rallying the troops if nothing else |

A big question: what will the police be doing this time for the TCR location? Partial roadblock to allow for clustered Anon crowd (as per 2/10), or a long stretch of pavement (as per 3/15)?
IMHO, the 2/10 arrangement worked much better in keeping us together, especially for chants and calls. Plus, we weren't scaring off as many people by our hogging of the sidewalk. ![]()

as for a PA, what we could do, is if everyone fitted a 3.5mil jack onto their megaphones (it was easy for mine, but others it might not be) and link them together with some extender cables, then we can have one input going through potentially 10 megaphones.
i've got a mate who has an audio "switch" that has one input and 10 outputs. this it's not a PA, just... a bunch of stuff... but means we can have some kinda distributed announcement system. Last edited by Anony-Nony-No; 04-07-2008 at 05:46 AM. Reason: irellvant quote |

- reach throughout the group if it's really spread out, - hit the maximum LEGAL volume and not go overboard so that the police get us/ the CoS gets the police to get us, and - preserve sound integrity so that people can actually make out what's being broadcasted. The third happens to be the biggest hitch with megaphones, methinks.

and as for audible, wired up right we could have some stereo going on on a large scale. as for volume... that would be controlled by the individual megaphone users. the problem comes in long audio wires with signal degridation. |

Hey hey kids. Do we actually have any ex scientologists coming, or people who have experienced disconnection? (I'm bashing out a press release, and I don't want to promise something we can't deliver - that would be baaad publicity)

If you see him again looking at you or anything like that, I'd go up to him to be honest and just talk to him.
There's that test on the londonlulz to see if its a scieno, just by talking about OT3 and seeing their reaction. Weird though :/ |

Hi, Birmingham Anon here, I apologise in advance for this post being unrelated to your 12th of April protest but I was wondering if any of you could help me out. I'm going to be getting in contact with Birmingham's Victorian Society and the Birmingham Civic Society concerning the new Org that the cult is setting up in the suburb of Moseley. I recall seeing photos from either last month or February that were taken looking into the rear of the London HQ which showed most of the inside to be absolutely gutted and dilipidated. My hope would be that the two societies might approach Birmingham City Council over the matter if they were aware that the Co$ could allow the same to happen to the Grade II listed building that they plan to move into. Unfortunately I can't recall where I found these pictures and try as I may I can't find them anywhere, so if you happen to know where I might find these or if you yourself have similar pictures of the inside of the London Org then I'd be very grateful if you'd let me know via private message.
Thanks :) |

If the press is interested, Bonnie wrote a book about her experiences in the CoS, including testimonies by former members (some of them posthumous) and the family of members. Free download. Powerful stuff.
