Re: Manchester, UK

Like I said in IRC, I reckon this could work to our advantage as there'll be a chokepoint of traffic as there's only one lane ineither direction meaning we can give flyers to cars as they crawl past.

Hello peoples, I'm new here (but I lurk long time)! I recently moved to Manchester (only from Warrington), and when I realised there was a Co$ here I was not inconsiderably pissed off about it - I've read up on Scientology a lot, and it pretty much sickens me to the core of my soul.

So, count me in for Saturday!

P.S - I make leaflets for fun. Just say the word.

In today's Express on Sunday newspaper - Seen the huge anon picture on the front of the weekend section? ... and 2 page article inside? Now that's what I call coverage!

Re: Manchester, UK

'kay guise, I can only make it for a few mins so I'm compensating (for my small penislol) by bringing business cards and fliers for y'all. Guise of the IRC will probably know by now.

But, just to get an idea of whether I'm actually going to get rid of any, who's interested? I'm not into having them wasted - either hand 'em out, or hide them around as mentioned elsewhere on the board as you see fit.

30x business cards (6 different designs, 5 each). So far I've 20 lots banded together, totalling 600 cards ready, with about 1200 in reserve in case I need to make moar lil' bundles between now and then.

Will also print fliers, don't know how many - depends on either cost or ink.

Most likely will turn up at Starbucks then have to go. What say you, anonymous? Want to get an idea of how many people will be willing to take 'em off my hands.

Re: Manchester, UK

It focuses on a raid in LA, and exscientologykids.com. Will be read by a whole lot of people.

The article ends...

So a group initially derided as "geeks" stages the first anti-scientology protest rallies around the world and a previously high rankingrelative of LRH's successor has broken ranks to publicly denounce Scientology. As author Mark Elner observes "Scientology is not only under siege. Because of the internet it may be about to meet its Waterloo!

Re: Manchester, UK

I sent a message to sky news, detailing the general ideas of the protests on April 12th, and outlining that we are not terrorists, and that these are peaceful protests designed to stop any more pain from their hands, not any form of religious bigotry.
Here is the copypasta.
Quote:
Hello there, this is anonymous. I would like to let you know of the protests that shall be happening world wide against the cult of scientology. Now, before I start, these are not protests against their "religious" practices, as people do have the freedom to believe in whatever they wish to believe in. These are peaceful protests against the disgusting criminal activities carried out by the "church"/cult of scientology, and this peaceful protest in particular, is aimed against the disconnection policy that they practice, that destroys families. Here are some links to info about these practices:
Stop Scientology Abuses | You Found The Card
Why We Protest
Operation Clambake - The Inner Secrets Of Scientology
Ex-Scientology Kids
Enturbulation.org Scientology Activism and Organization
Here is a video of Anonymous in Manchester interviewing two parents of a scientologist who is trapped in the cult: YouTube - Interview with Scientologist parents
And there are many more examples. There shall be peaceful protests world wide, and in England there shall be ones in London, Manchester, Birmingham, York, Plymouth, Bristol, and so forth. I personally as a member of anonymous, shall be attending the Manchester peaceful protests. If you need someone to talk to on the day, then any member of anon will usually be happy to talk to you aslong as they can retain their anonymity due to the co$' (cult of scientology) fair game policy, which states that any "enemies" (i.e. critics) of the church can be "Deprived of property or injured by any means by any Scientologist without any discipline of the Scientologist. May be tricked, sued or lied to or destroyed". This is why we are anonymous. to avoid getting destroyed. Not because we are cowards, because we are sensible. We are not "hackers on steroids", we are not "cyber terrorists", we are not any form of terrorist organisation. We are not even an organisation, we do not have any leaders. We have no organised body. We are merely a huge group of individuals who share the same idea that this is a horrific cult that needs to be stopped. Once again, I must stress the fact that we are not protesting against their beliefs, just against the criminal activities carried out by the organisation. Any time they claim to have had threats of violence or bomb threats or whatever from anonymous, they are talking bilge, as that is not what we are setting out to do. We are peaceful, we love to laugh, we are not a terrorist faction. The most horrendous thing we do is play that Rick Astly song loudly. Other than that, we are benign, we just wish to educate people about this terrible cult, and help stop people from joining, and help rebuild families that have been destroyed by this cult.
Anyway, I shall cease my rambling, and I, and many other anons will be looking forewards to seeing you on April 12th across the planet, and especially in Manchester. If you wish to get in contact with us before the event, then send us an e-mail, and something can be arranged.

We are Anonymous.

We are Legion.

We do not forgive.

We do not forget.

Expect us.
But yes, I sent that to news.plan@bskyb.com, so if anyone else wishes to send stuff in a similar vein to that, then there is the e-mail address. I am gonna send the same e-mail to their news desk admins n all.

Just heard something in the news today, a guy committed suicide by jumping out of a hospital window, dunno if its scientology related yet, him jumping out of the window so they couldnt put him on psychiatric drugs (wouldn't be surprised). Its probably nothing but I'll let you know if i find out more.

Re: Manchester, UK

Could someone who's sure of what's going on head over to the April 12th directory and fill in the blanks as far as Manchester is concerned?

Cheers =)
