Re: Manchester, UK
Talcum powder helped action man get his boots on, it might help getting a gasmask to go on. Failing that, various liquid/gel lubes could help.

Re: Manchester, UK
It's okay, it's stretched enough now, and is actually surprisingly comfortable o.o Not sure if I'll be able to bring my spare mask, though.
Oh, and I'm coming in a party with 5 others ^_^ EDIT: My avatar is now a picture of me with my new mask, so that you can know what I'll look like beforehand incase you want to find me for something. I may or may not be wearing the hat, it depends on the weather. If I'm not wearing the hat I'll be just as easy to find as there are these holes in the top of the gas mask to help it fit and they make my hair go crazy o.O |

Re: Manchester, UK
Operation: Anonymous Radio is proceeding as planned. I've enough equipment for two low-power transmitters. They're weedy enough that the police shouldn't have a problem with it on the day, but strong enough to get across the street and a good distance along the pavement. If anyone has a cheap transistor radio or anything that can recieve FM and has a speaker, bring it along. Make sure you've got batteries. We need lots and lots of little speakers playing for Anonymous Radio to be a success.
If you have a music player of any sorts, bring it. As long as it has a standard 3.5mm headphone jack (that's basically 99.9% of all portable equipment), it'll plug into the transmitter just fine. Last time wasn't a problem; plenty of Anon had Rick Rolls and Bel Airs available, along with a few other gems. It would be epic fail to be stuck with a PA system and nothing to send over it though, so keep them MP3 players coming! The better of the two transmitters is PLL tunable, so the frequency will be decided for that on the day. The crappy one is stuck on 105.2-ish, but it might not be needed depending on how good a performance I get out of a long wire and an earth lead clamped onto a lamp post. Just ask around when you get there, you'll find the frequency. Either that or look for a black block with a circuit board taped to it and wires coming off. Don't worry, it's not a bomb. The frequency will be on the board. Tune in, turn up and find a spot where there isn't already a radio playing. With a bit of luck we'll be rickrolling that whole section of Deansgate without provoking the ire of Angry Cafe Man. Also, bring an umbrella. Not sure what the forecast is for tomorrow but it's been shitty today. |

Re: Manchester, UK
technicalfool, I'm not sure what Century FM is like in the centre of Manchester, but it's highly possible that 105.4 is going to completely blast over that. Capture effect, and all that.
Now then, I have an idea. Are you a licensed ham? Do you have a handheld transceiver? Shall I bring mine for cross-the-street communications? We can either do it on PMR446 or I can lose my transmit-virginity and fire up on the 70cms calling frequency with my callsign :) |

Black block with a circuit board taped to it and wires coming off? We may know it's not a bomb but to the scientologists and police it'll look awful suspicious, and I'm sure if the scilons spot it they'll be badgering the police about it.

Re: Manchester, UK
Oh no, it's pissing it down!! Splendid. Looks like I'll have to use TWO binbags to carry my big protest sign to Starbucks. BTW, if you see a small person attaching a big stick to something on the floor outside Starbucks, that's just me finishing off the sign...didn't fancy parading it all on my own down Deansgate!
See you there! ![]() |

Re: Manchester, UK
I've got some, if I don't get rid of them all too soon. Will be at Starbucks briefly about 11 with some, before I have to leave. Blue boilersuit, will be handing a few fliers and cards out to anons.
