There is a group called indymedia which you can submitted your articles and the like too but they usually report on left wing political kindof things so i dont know whether or not this would qualify

I don't think having a cart of our own could work- money, time and skill need to go into that sort of thing, and while we've all got time, I don't know if we could really pull off the other two well enough to look like any more than a joke.

Plymouth, UK

Aside from the rain, which we managed to survive, the Plymouth protest went really, really well last time.

We do need to improve some stuff though. Mainly, the signs. We had a couple of good ones that lasted the weather, but we lost quite a few early on to the wet. Going to need to put a little more work into those, next time.

The flyers went down a treat- the best approach on those seemed to be asking 'would you like to know why we're here today?' so that's also something to remember.

11AM, outside the church, and see if we can get some matching masks/face covering this time?

Also, the Herald article was shit, and further articles will probably continue to be shit. Doesn't seem to be much we can do there.

Updated Flyer

^ That last linky there? Would be a GREAT link to put on cards. Can someone do that please?

Unfortunately Tom (the original reporter from 10th feb raid) was unable to make it as something came up last minute, hence no-name guy arriving. Ill try and get Tom there for the 12th as he seemed to have a genuine interest in the cause,

Of course this still isnt going to stop the Herald editing stuff out. Maybe we can try and think of some other news sources in the area?

I've had an idea for April 12th, or even just for general protests in the city centre.

I was thinking we could get hold of some form of cart of our own, similar to theirs but loaded up with our flyers, posters, etc. We could then set this up next to theirs, following them around whenever they decide to relocate. Judging from Saturday, if we could keep this up they wouldn't stand a chance.

I'm not sure if we'd need some kind of permission from the council to set up a cart in town, but I expect we could find a way.

What do you think?

Did we have a press release? I gather reporters like press releases because they can just copypasta them if they are good enough. The scientologists have one, so we really should have one. It needs to concise, literate and factual.

I think the cart is a great idea. As long as we are not selling anything, I think that we will have legal entitlement to go through the city centre. I have the scooter which can be modified/adapted if need be. As we proved on Saturday... following the cart saying 'Dangerous Cult' makes them pack up and run for home pretty quickly. Imagine a parody stress-test cart following it too?

We Londonfags made one, sent it out to the country's media. I would suggest a more locally orientated one for you guys is a great idea. Ours is still available over in the text composition thread if you want to take a look. Good luck

We need boom box, possibly two! I can make CDs. Some cool protest songs that have been used as backing to some videos on YouTube, just don't know the names.

I like the guys who set up a "free gullibility test" next door to a scientology centre, not sure about lugging a cart about all day but there could be much lulz from it.

Incidentally if scientology sells dianetics books I wonder if their license is in order.

Has anyone seen Kaz since the protest? I've not been able to contact her, and she is noted by her absence.

So bring the music to the carts as they go through town.

Anyone fancy meeting up tomorrow or on friday?

Re: Plymouth, UK

I can confirm that I will be in Plymouth again for the 12th April.

I have a 20w boombox (with line in for MP3/CD players) which I can bring along, should it be needed.
