Its what I was doing (whilst listening on speakerphone) - but they were hanging up after 15-20 seconds each time... It was definitely an office environment (there were distant phone coversations in the background). Time was 9pm'ish (the org was still open)... I can go for 2 weeks without a single call, and rarely get wrong numbers... this was definitely the cult.

Seems like they're trying to mess you up. Don't let 'em.

Also, while I remember? Who was the ginger kid that had the business cards? Those are awesome, and it would be cool if there were a few of those to leave in strategic locations for the 12th

I spent an hour by the cart today... not picketing, but just chatting to people who had had the stress tests to ask them what they thought about their experience. Then I proceeded to inform them a little about the cult (all the people were unaware about the link between the stress-test cart and scientology).

I met the guy who called me the other week (the one who silent called me twice, but forgot to 141 his number the first time)... had a nice long chat with him and planted a load of seeds, but alas he is already brainwashed... which is a shame as he's just a couple of weeks short of his 20th birthday. I asked him to pass a message to the org - to stop the silent calls.

I then had a bit of an altercation with Greg Boyce (who came over and said 'YOU ARE A PAIN'... then tried to TR0 stare me)... I laughed and asked him if he'd been focussing his eyes on any underaged breasts lately. That guy really hates me with a passion ;)

Anyway - could I just confirm that everyone knows we are currently on irc.partyvan.fm:6667 #plymouth - the IRC channel has been a little dead lately - and Im not sure everyone knows the server has changed (again)...

V for Vendetta (Guy Fawkes) masks are available from www.forbiddenplanet.co.uk. Well when I say available I mean they are their number 1 movie merchandise best seller and number 1 best seller and I ordered mine two weeks ago and still have not got it.

I ordered one last week from that site and got it with 4 days!

Hello chaps, I just had a note in from ITV, and I see the fellow is based in Plymouth, so I suppose he's interested in you guys. He would like to know what attendance we can expect, and if there is any one he can speak to.

Just to let you know 50 more businesses have been notified of the April 12th protest with our why we protest and frequently asked questions materials; well I posted them 2nd class today so they will have been by next week. That is practically all business on the main trail.

Regarding interviews, I can play a silhouette if Stu is other wise engaged. ;-)

Was considering running an advert in our local but it would cost around £105 for a credit card sized ad in the Fridays' Whats On section; I was willing to go up to £50. Stu thinks money could be better spent and I think it might be too late anyway given the deadline for Friday is Wednesday. On reflection it might be too late as few people will turn up to a protest with only a days notice; mind you it all helps. Another arguement is an ad in our local might gives us some cred. Thoughts.

People seemed to pay a lot of attention to our fliers, people actually read them rather than binning them as I do with most hand outs. I was told in the local copy shop that people were even reading the test copies I left behind; for that very reason I might add. :-D. Looking to get some business cards to hand out too, 100 colour for around £8.50.

We have a lot of passive support too, the I know why you are protesting and I totally agree brigade. We need somethings that these people can do without protesting. I have a list of 5 that I put on our fliers but I am open to suggestions:

1. Don’t join the Church of $cientology. If you want to practice the same beliefs ethically then you can join the Freezone, see: www.fzaoint.org

2. Educate yourself about the illegal and unethical practices of the Church of $cientology and the other reasons why we are protesting, see:
a. www.xenu.net, www.exscientologykids.com, www.lermanet.com,
forums.enturbulation.org, www.whytheyaredead.com or
b. Google “anonymous scientology” or
c. Look on YouTube for the following channels: LRonHu88ard, ToryMagoo44,
chanologyproject and XENUTV1 and watch some entertaining, moving and
educational videos on the subject.
3. Go to http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/ do a search for scientology read and sign the
petitions you feel are appropriate. (UK citizens only).
4. Tell your family and friends about scientology or if they mention joining
scientology tell them to do 2 above and hopefully that will get them to do 1
above.
5. Be aware that Free Stress Test = Dianetics = Scientology. Sales of the book
Dianetics help fund the ”church” and the free stress test / free personality tests
are a means of recruitment.

Thinking about it I should add:

6. Educate yourself about the various front groups that scientology uses for
recruitment and avoid these, especially if you are in a position where their
services might appear appealing. The main front groups are:
WISE - Provides scientology orientated advise to businesses.
(Small business watch out, it is expensive and dodgy at best)
CCHR - promotes anti-psychology / psychiatry information and actively
encourages people to make abuse claims against psychiatrists.
Actively campaigns at national and International level to
introduce laws that discourage / inhibit psychiatry.
(Regardless about how you feel with respect to drug treatment of depression
or advice on post partum depression Scientology is not offering an
alternative to psychiatry and regular counciling, they want to replace it.)
NARCONON - Promotes drug awareness in schools and offers scientology
orientated drug rehabilitation that leads in to scientology.
(Schools, councils and local authorities watch out for this.)
CRIMINON - Promotes scientology orientated criminal rehabilitation
(Local authorities, police and probation services watch out for this.)
WAY TO HAPPINESS FOUNDATION - Provides "secular" advice for good living
that is orientated towards scientology, which
ironically claims to be a religion (for tax reasons).
(This is aimed at families mainly. Agnostics watch out for this)

All pretty sound advice.

Most of the good links and the basic info is on the flyer design in what used to be the first post. Don't know why it isn't first any more, but hey.

Practise your spiel before the day, so that when the dumb questions come, you know what you're doing.
