Israel anyone?

Short 5 minite research shows there are two active centers (missions) of scientology in israel (Jerusalem and Tel Aviv).

The situation with Chirch of $cientology here is that its declared a cult and is actively fought with by a jewish cult watch (cool guys), but continues to try and infiltrate schools, social services, alternative communities and weakened parts of society.

Anyone in there looking for people to coordinate a protest?

Looks like we may have another win on our hands, I won't be able to attend, but we may still be able to look forward to 10 or so israelinons, we scouted two centers in Tel Aviv last time, one in a shitty industrial area, the other in Tel Aviv center itself.

Any kindergarten in Israel with more than 10 children requires the approval of the Education Ministry, but three kindergartens offering children the education teaching of the controversial Scientology movement are operating in Tel Aviv these days without the ministry being aware of their principles.


One of these kindergartens, in the Nahalat Yitzhak neighborhood has about 90 children. Although it received the Education Ministry's approval, it failed to note its religious leanings.

The ministry has never even heard of the other two Scientology kindergartens, one in the Yad Eliyahu neighborhood and the other on Keren Kayemet Street in northern Tel Aviv.



The Scientology cultist movement was materialized in the United States in the 1950s. Its principles were developed from author L. Ron Hubbard's set of ideas and practices regarding the relationship between the spirit, mind and body presented in the book "Dianetics".



In the book, Hubbard developed ideas in regards to ways humans can release themselves from mental elements preventing them from studying, developing and reaching a deeper understanding of the world.



One of the issues characterizing education according to the Scientology ideas is teaching respect, human rights and friendship – expressed in addressing children at eye level. When a teacher speaks to one of his or her pupils, he or she will bend down in order to prevent significant height differences.



It should be noted that a visit to one of the three kindergartens did not reveal any strange or severe issues in the teachers' treatment of the children, and yet these kindergartens are operating without a license and without being supervised by the Education Ministry.



Avi Katzover, an Education Ministry spokesman for the Tel Aviv District, said in response that "the kindergarten (in Nahalat Yitzhak) was granted an operating license after it was made clear that it has no security or health risks. The license is temporary until the end of the school year.

"The pedagogical aspect will be examined this year and we will then make a final decision whether to grant it a permanent license for the coming years as well.


"As for the Scientology issue, the Education Ministry is unaware of such principles being taught in the kindergarten. The supervisor examined the kindergarten's education contents and did not spot any Scientology content. The teacher also denied any involvement in the cult."

Back on topic: April is Operation Reconnect, but we'll probably be about 10 people more or less. Do we want to pull off a complex operation like this or should we stick to more local agendas such as CoS infiltration to government and education as purposed above?

I belive we can adress both global and local matters there - the activities of the legion around the world as well as the local issues such as Co$ constant infiltrations, their recent attempted workshops at Sderot and so on. I think its a good idea to contact Yad-Leahim for the file on Co$'s activitiesin Israel before the protest.

Another important goal might be coming up with ways to rally more people. Once we hit 30 or so mark, we can bring in the media for the next protests, which will result in big win.

And lastly, we want to have fun doing that.

- Scilons are now trying to hunt for "local celebs". We can try to do a small mail campaign where we can warn these celebs that Co$ "is out to get them". The scary part is, this isnt a joke. They really ARE trying to get them, mostly via front groups that dont say they're Scilons related up front.

On location:
I recommend that we re-do Tel Aviv at the same time and location. It was a pretty good one at 3/15 and I see no reason why not to do it again this time around.

No need for permit if we're under 50 people, which we obviously will be.

Cant spam sound, but we can use masks and carry signs and give away flyers.

So where is the protest going to be? What time? What are we planning to do and where are we planning to go? Who's making the flyers? Who's making the signs? Who's making delicious cake?

For lack of offered alternatives, I propose starting off at Dizingof square at 12:00 like last time, since it seemed to be a good, convenient place to all meet up. I can print some flyers, and maybe make some posters, but not that much and the guys who did it last time did an excellent job.

Are the people that came last time coming to this protest? I know Randomness can't, and anon.il seems to be active but I haven't heard from anyone else... Post if you plan on coming or have any ideas for the protest.

Advice from NJ anon, in the USA...

If you have a question as to whom is printing out fliers- go to a copy shop, and make fliers. If you have a question as to who is making signs- go and make some signs, and bring them with you. If you have a question as to whom is responsible for contacting the media- go ahead, and contact the media with one of the excellent press releases available via this forum. If you have a question as to whom is bringing caek, bring caek...

If you can't do all of these, do one, or two. No one in anonymous gives orders to anyone, and no one waits for orders. We do what we can, in our own capacity. The most important thing is to show up, bring friends, and do what you can to conceal your identity.
