No, you can blame Scientology.

These kinds of tests need to be handled by professionals. To give a test and deliver the results with the primary intention of crushing the self esteem of a person is anywhere from dangerous to outright homicidal. You don't have a personality profile on them, a medical record, any data on previous psychiatric evaluations...

So they should be hit with practicing medicine without a license, malpractice, and negligent homicide... or worse...

That story is absolutely horrible.

Although the good thing to come from it is that this is DEVESTATING to scientology in Norway. This will be in the media for days and TV/newspapers etc are almost certain to interview critics who will know that the test is always negative.

It's appalling that these idiots give that sort of test to a girl with mental instability. A realy psychiatrist would know how to help without causing her excess upset.

Slim chances. They are trained to think that those who scored the lowest of the low in the test are "scum of society" - a problem that will "fix itself" through suicide in most cases. Frankly, I wonder if they gave her the "You scored so low that we cannot help you" line - remember the tone-scale.

This is a horrible story, and we need to show presence - as soon as possible. Cant let this one slip by as a freak accident.

This particular case happened to get into the media spotlight because she was the daughter of a high ranking politician. Who knows how many other cases like this are out there with less exposure that never get published or linked to CoS?

This angers me greatly, and only furthers my resolve and my participation in what we are doing. The truly terrible thing is, she seemed to have worked to overcome her problems, only to be pushed back and over the edge by the tactics of the Co$.
If I could get over to Nice (lol, from Canada), I'd be picketing right along with you guys.

God, this absolutely sickens and saddens me. How can they gamble with someone's life?? They preach about the "evils" of psychiatry yet have NO clue how to treat/support a vulnerable person like this.

I just hope she hasn't died in vain; let this be more warnings to the public and any others taking an interest in the Co$

The Norwegian press is reporting that Kaja Bordevich Ballo, aged 20, the daughter of Norwegian MP Olav Gunnar Ballo, committed suicide two weeks ago after taking a Scientology personality test. The family blames the Church for her death and decided to go public with the story, after the test along with the results and a suicide note were discovered after Kaja's death.

The story begins on March 28, 2008 when Kaja took the Scientology personality test. Keja was a student at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis located in Nice, France. A few hours later she reportedly killed herself by jumping from the window of her dormitory. Her friends and roommates claim she was in good spirits and showed no signs of a mental break down or depression prior to taking the test.

"The information about the Scientology test has been made public through the priest's speech at the memorial service. I can confirm that. Due to the recency of her death, I don't wish to elaborate on or comment on other matters now," said Olav in a statement to the press.

The Church, which is located only meters from Kaja's dormitory, states that the results had shown Kaja was "depressed, irresponsible, hyper-critical and lacking in harmony." They also state that it is "unfair to blame Scientology" for Kaja's death and that the test had nothing to do with it. Kaja left behind a note telling her family she was sorry for not "being good for anything."

The incident has generated criticism against the Church from friends, family members and politicians. Inga Marte Thorkildsen one of the members of Norway's Parliament, states that "everything points to Scientology having played a direct role in making Kaja choose to take her own life."

The Church has since removed the test from its Norwegian website.
