Oh, I wish I could find it for you. It was from a show years ago. I remember watching it and talking about it online. She was ridiculous in her shock that the rest of us didn't change our sheets every day. But you know, the rest of us don't have someone to do that FOR us. The interview with Cruise, airing on May 5 in the US, covers Scientology, that couch jumping episode and his recent debate with Matt Lauer on the US Today Show.

Now knowing Oprah its not going to so much as cover Scientology as it will be endorsing scientology. The fact its being brought up as a main topic means its even more imperative that we protest and let people know what it truly is.

Unless he's going to surprise the world and publicly blow, all this amounts to is damage control.

I'm not saying Tom's gonna blow on Oprah, but what if she asks a couple questions he can't TR, questions that come out with rilly rilly obvious dodging the point answers. "What about the child labor?" Even if he dodges and it looks like she tossed him a Nerf, the fact is she BROUGHT IT UP. And as much as Oprah loves celebs, she hates child abuse and liars more. A later crying episode showing how she was "duped" and "betrayed" will be high ratings. Oprah didnt get to be who she is by being gullible. The woman has a loooong end game and is willing to adjust her play. And wiht every post on her site, every email, every contact, her game of seeing how the public thinks and learning what the public wants is getting modified.

Never underestimate the public mind. MILF's dont want their kids joining cults.

That would be so sweet, but I doubt it. What would be the point of bringing back this woman that is a huge TC fan? (she was surprised by being brought on to meet him in the past) She nearly had a heart attack when they said they were bringing her back to the show. I don't think Oprah would combine that with an all out attack.

Softballs we expect to be tossed? Plenty. Here's how I imagine it will go:




Oprah Question: "Tom, what do want to say to the critics of your RELIGION?"
Tom Answer: Blah, blah, good works of Scientology, drug treatment, millions of people helped

Oprah Question: "Tom, do you consider yourself a church leader or spokesman for Scientology?"
Tom Answer: "No, Oprah, I don't. I live the best life I can as a Scientologist and try to lead by example, but..." etc. etc. etc.

Oprah Question: "Tom... we've got to talk about the stuff with the couch, 'cause people are never gonna let that go otherwise."
Tom Answer: "I don't know why people are making such a big deal out of it. I'm a romantic guy and I was in love. Haven't you ever done anything a bit crazy when you were in love?"

Oprah Question: "But Tom, it WAS a bit out there. Can't you at least understand why it seemed weird to people?"
Tom Answer: "Sure, Oprah, but I've had a long career and done a lot of great things. For people to judge me based on one day when I was a bit excited?"

Oprah Question: "Tom, some people might say its part of a pattern. They might talk about your interview with Matt Lauer for example."
Tom Answer: "Matt's a great guy and I love him, but he went out of bounds when he mentioned my religious beliefs."

Oprah Question: "But Tom, he asked about your very public statements about Brooke Shields and psychiatry"
Tom Answer: "As has been very clear since then, I've made amends since then with Brooke for offending her, and Katie and I now count her among our best friends. It's not Matt's business or anyone else's but Brooke's..."

Oprah Question: "But the psychiatrist stuff?"
Tom Answer: "Was an OPINION. And as I said at the time, there are studies that PROVE what I was was saying."

Oprah Question: "Prove?"
Tom Answer: "Look Oprah, we aren't going to resolve this on a short talk show segment. If you do a show on the ills of Psychiatry, and how they drug people inappropriately, there are all kinds of experts I can hook you up with."

Oprah Question: "Okay, Tom, lets go on and talk about some of the beliefs of Scientology that are controversial. For example, this stuff about Xenu."
Tom Answer: "Yeah. I've heard about that. A very minor part of the religion that Mr. Hubbard told as a parable of sorts that people with an axe to grind against my religion are blowing up all out of proportion to stir up hatred and intolerance against us."

The illusion of "hard" but phrased in a way that lets Tom turn everything aside, and with a focus on things Tom's said or done and NOT about Scientology's abuses. Which we can be sure won't even be hinted at. If the Xenu stuff is mentioned I think it will go down almost exactly like I have it above.
