The PTS/SP (shattering suppression) course is one I did 3 times over during my 24 years in Scientology.
It contains Hubbard's bias against anyone or anything that does not support Scientology or actually opposes Scientology.

In a tl;dr summary: Hubbard believed (and his cult followers are brainwashed into believing) that millions of people world-wide were out to get him (SP's = Suppressive persons). He said 2.5% of the world population (of 5 billion?) were going to try to attack him and his cult. Another 20% would go along with the SPs (they are PTS = Potential Trouble Sources).

In order to counter these hundreds of millions of enemies Scientologists had to understand that SPs have crimes they are trying to hide and that is why they attack Scientology. The way to shatter suppression is to shout at the SPs about their crimes to introvert them into silence. TC shouting "glib" to Matt Lauer was a kind of example of this but not very good as an application of Hubbard "technology".

In the long view of thing SPs would eventually be so disconnected and shunned in a fully Scientology world that they would be killed off by Fair Game, starvation or being driven to suicide.

For the moment he way to deal with a PTS is to get them to disconnect from the SP who is influencing them. In the end, as Tom Cruise points out in the infamous video, SPs would be history (all dead) and so nobody would be PTS any more and Scientology could rule the world.

Nice, huh??
