I love that lighthouse letter video, too. You all have created some of THE most moving videos-----------it IS amazing~

((And not just those who made the videos, which IS awesome....but also ALL who are IN them, too~ And even those behind the scenes who have helped greatly~!))

Have you ever thought about bringing the details (minus names, of course) to light?
I've posted in great detail about much of my life....Some of the kid's names I don't post out of respect for the parents. I feel IF a child takes their own life, it's up to the parents to decide if they want it discussed, or not. In the case of Phillip Gayle, thankfully the students/Friends of M.I.T
put up a Web site for him.

Was there any specific question you were wondering about, outside of what I just said?

Happy Friday~~

So many things have hit me at different points. Some include:

The first "Voiceless" vid (with the Ratatat song) I watched it over and over when it was first posted.

LRonHu88ard's "The Ides of March - Anonymous vs. Scientology- Why We Fight" (haunting, informative, mesmerizing "O for drowned Ophelias...") - AWESOME!!!

All the unexplained "suicides", esp. Shawn's (and the timing of his death) and Theresa Duncan/Jeremy Blake

Forced abortions

The fact that it's 2008 - and we, as the human race, have allowed these atrocities to continue.

Tory crying in her video - it broke me heart, it did.

Ex-Scientologists for their courage, their amazing resiliency, and profound generosity in sharing their stories, wealth of information, and advice for Anon.

I suppose I'm different from most of you in that I actively avoided the various chans -- thought all of you were just a bunch of pranking script kiddies who needed to grow up. And I do think at the time, i.e. pre-2008, you did. But then you started to find out what people such as myself knew, i.e. that $cientology was evil and dangerous and something to try to fight to abolish, and that was the key moment in which all of you grew up and actually started to do things that were awesome and great. And the fact that you guys have been making good use of your pranking script kiddie ways is -- thank you.

I actually remember lurking on ars for a long, long time. I remember Tory's old posts when she was still "in", and thinking, "Ok, who is this crazy Magoo person?" So to see her here on this website, now "out", now an activist, and now with all her wits about her, is just about the most historic event ever. Next to that, I remember seeing Jason Beghe listed in Tilman Hausherr's "Hall Of Shame" and thinking that he was yet another lost Hollywood culty type for so long, but seeing him "blow" and get off the Hall Of Shame? Another historic event.

There are too many negative moments for me to really narrow down to one specific one re: $cientology -- there was the Time cover story when I found out about that boy who lept off the top of that hotel roof clutching the only money in the world he hadn't given to $cientology, then there were the lessons in my high school comparative religions class when we learned about the hallmarks of a "cult" and, after watching an in-class doc on Jonestown, realizing that Jim Jones sounded an awful lot like L. Ron Hubbard, then there was my own independent research on the Internet and seeing how much shit happened behind the cult's closed doors, then Lisa McPherson's story got out and I saw the autopsy photos and was haunted by them, and I had all of this information and knew for sure that $cientology was dirty and evil and nasty, but I had no way of knowing what to do about it all until you guys popped up.

So I guess that means a big thank you to you pranking script kiddies for finally bringing the numbers and organization the anti-culty people have needed for so long. Now I know what I can do about this and am committed to actively helping you.

Actually, there is now an addendum to my original answer. This thread right here;

Don't worry about scilons seeing it or any of that. There are currently 7 people browsing the forum. 2 registered, and 5 guests. Who wishes to put bets on how many of those 5 are OSA? (Dallas Hill has pretty much had it confirmed that they study that forum with microscopes already)

The video "The Unfunny Truth About Scientology". It got me wanting to look up more about the cult. The more I saw, the more I was enraged. i swore then that i would do anything I can to stop them.

Then I dug deeper. I found out about Paulette Cooper. I found whytheyaredead.net. I read the "This is why we fight" thread here. Now? It's not for the lulz, though I know they'll be had anyway. There's a cold rage that you feel about all that because, God damn it, it is not acceptable, it is NOT FUCKING ACCEPTABLE that innocent people should have their lives destroyed for the sake of a quick buck in the pocket of a con man. isn't the worst offender in that regard, true, but IMO they're up there on the "fuckheads who need repeated bitchslapping" list. Unlike, say, the brutal thugs in any 3rd world dictatorial shithole, I can make a difference, even if I personally never get a whisper of credit. Hell, if not a single name gets mentioned on the side against , when Miscavige [spelling?] and company are either in prison or running for their lives (figuratively or literally), it's still worth it.
This thread is very moving and incredible. THIS^^

Like most of you I saw and heard stuff. All the celebs and the 'kooky' alien cult. I laughed my ass of at South Park 'In the Closet'. Saw the first Anonymous video. But still hadn't hit me yet.

Then I started cleaning the house of an affluent couple (chiropractors) and their three kids. NICE house!! Cleaned professionally once a week. Pricey stuff. Every other week I did the downstairs. But didn't have to clean the 'office'. Well, like a lot of people, I'm nosey.
So I go into the office and there are TONS of these big glossy Scientology tape cases. Like the fancy Disney video tape cases, but bigger. Then I found their e-meters. Four, one for each.
(BTW, not ONE house of all rich folks I did smoked...except them)

So I go home and research. And read and read. Now a week after, I go back to that house and know what to look for.

See here is the part that makes cry..especially if I have to say it or type it.

*deep breath*

Their oldest son is a college age adult and not at home. Every week I dusted a picture of him in their foyer on a glass table. (bitch to keep lint free)

He is smiling.....and wearing a Sea Org uniform.

*more deep breaths*

And I can't say anything to them. I'd lose my job...my company will lose a valuable client. And it really kills me.

And Tory, it's ok to cry in your videos. We love you and your passion and EMOTION for the lost people.

But it took about 12 months to turn me into a full blown ronbot - and what's more, it lasted for maybe 21 years - even though I hadn't been in to an org or done anything for the last 15 or so, I was still under the influence and even now find myself having to fight it off, sometimes daily. Inculcated is the word I'm looking for. Why it lasted so long? No data to contradict it. It probably would have worn off in another 10 years, but stumbling on anonymous slapped me silly (lulzy?) and it's much better but fuck, I was brainwashed! That's beyond embarrasing. Then there's realizing I did it to other people. Dumbshit me.

This is why.

Welcome home to the real world and free will. You can save more people with your story than we can with our signs. I'm glad you're here.

Not only will your life experience never be forgotten, it will be remembered for generations according to the truthful account of the victors, and that shall not be the CoS.

On another note, I first studied cult phenomenon in the early 1980s, just before Hubbard died. I let it go for years and when I re-investigated Scientology (in relation to an offshoot group called "Avatar" started by mission holder Harry Palmer) I was like ... I don't remember all this stuff !?!? Who was Lisa McPherson (for example)? Or Xenu? Over those years, controversies surrounding Scientology picked up steam like no one's business. DM's regime took it to a level of evil I could not have previously imagined.

If this is really you, Paulette, I am in deep gratitude for all that you did to expose Scientology, when no one else had your back. I absolutely hate the things that happened to you, but I am really glad that you made it through!

And one more thing - every time I see this picture, I think to myself, "what I'd do to have such an incredibly beautiful woman like this..."

Paulette for anyone to read or see what happened to you and not be impacted by it is almost impossible, your story is a constant reminder to some as well as emphasising the true ruthless and vicious nature of the cult.

i remeber watching you give testimony in what i think was a legal investigation of scientology. I just found it so shocking yet amazed that you could go through that and still talk relatively calmly of your experience even joke about lawer payments.

but anyway to sum up your awesome youve affected countless numbers of people, and hi!
