I've been lurking for a few weeks, and decided to try my hand at a video. Keeping in mind it's the first video I've EVER made, my theory was to make something funny that a non-Anon might find in a search and maybe follow it to more information. I don't have any kind of background in activism or video production, but I have written the odd joke in my day:

I'm curious how many people here have actually sat down and watched this interesting video on Mark Bunker's site all the way through (to be clear--the video is backended on YouTube--Mark just gives a nice context to it on his site):

I've stumbled around Bunker's site for a while but never really clicked on the link that led to this before. It's apparently been up there for about a year, but I don't think its exactly the first thing people notice up there.

You can dismiss some parts of it as having more to do with sects like the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or the Branch Davidians, but other elements of the video are clearly aimed at Scientology.

Some of the phrases from the film that stuck out to me:

--The "Onion" analogy
--The VERY pointed part about "Front Groups" (and listen closely to some of the examples the video uses)
--"Join us and be special", "Join our elite mission to save the world", "we can teach you special powers"
--"love bombing"
--"Get information and hone their weak spots. And then use this information to manipulate them..."
--"Our ideology answers all questions to all problems"
--"You are not living up to your potential"
--"Tell them there is a part of their mind they must eliminate in order to find happiness"
--"You must eliminate the toxic mind" (must be this fictional cult's version of the reactive mind)
--"Scientific studies PROVE my techniques work"
--"Make up stories about yourself to boost your importance" -- "I invented air" "I have special access... to the aliens" "But don't be stupid about it. Start slowly. A good con man takes a little bit of truth and a lot of lies and pulls the wool over the eyes of the ignorant".
--"Induce trance states and self hypnosis by practicing thought stopping rituals and repetitive acts"
--"Your friends and family probably won't understand" "It doesn't sound like your family really loves you if they can't support your new decision" "Maybe you should stay away from them, it's unhealthy for you to be around unenlightened people anyway" "If you can't recruit your friends... cut off from them" "Stop wasting time with non-believers"
--"Tighten your groups bonds by establishing scapegoats and enemies. Demonize outsiders as less than human, biased corrupt, or conspiring against the group. Develop an us vs. them mentality."
--"Tell them that their critical thoughts are evidence that they've committed crimes against the group".
--"I'm just warning you that without us, you are likely to get into a bad accident, get sick or even die".

There's probably more, but wow. Sounds a bit familiar, eh?

I almost wish there was a way to set this up on big screens outside Church of Scientology Orgs, and watch the little hamsters inside watch it and see a LOT that's familiar to them. Alas, the volume of sound necessary would be illegal in most places.

^^ THIS Excellent. Maybe it appeals to me, having been on the receiving end of it, and yes, when I first watched it I wanted most of all to try to get current staff to see it... If you have not been a victim of the techniques described it will surely seem weird, but much of it applies to our target. Well worth watching and studying.

People who appreciated the above video also appreciated being saved from decades of fear, self doubt and self imposed silence.

1974 US FDA settles with the church, requiring that the e-meter be clearly labelled that it cannot be used for physical healing as the church had been claiming.

1978 Hubbard found guilty in absentia of fraud in France.

1996 November. the former head of the Lyon France church convicted of manslaughter for pushing a Scientologist toward suicide. 14 others convicted of fraud and other charges.

May need to be reworded, but I would like to get the message out on as many vids related to Scientology as possible.
