Sydney
  • Communication breakdown where one group of people split off to go to Town Hall early. They were breaking permit, and the police officer said it would be a criminal offence if they did not turn around and go back.
  • There was a big van parked outside the CoS. You all probably knew that already. Some guys stuck little signs to it. The first one was "Party Van." The second was a little flyer meant for people, and that was pushing it. The third one was "Truck Full Of Fail" and a police officer asked the posters to remove it. Twice.
  • Lack of morale. We just sat around pretty quietly for the most part, not really creating a ruckus. I think this is an example why we do need memes in some moderation. Most of us are Anon, after all.

"Freedom of thought is not suppression"

Great sentiment, but not something that will cause the public to investigate or learn about the things we are wanting to educate them about.

Good sign, epic photo.

Indianapolis

1. lack of knowledge about a Rally in support of our fallen troops 3 blocks east of where we were protesting was definitely a fail, due to lack of foot traffic and some confusion from the few people we did see. Cars were still overly supportive though.
2. Lulz were kinda dry, Remedy would be music, but none of our anon want to risk name-faggotry to get a permit.
3. Marching as well when it comes to a permit.

These are fail, but no anon wants to step up at the crossroads of America to get the permit. I am a chickenshit in this aspect, for I to worry about name-faggotry.

Yup, but tbh the speaker he was using was bad quality and I couldn't even hear him that well and i was next to him.

Forgetting while we where there in SD and getting all Atheistic in an instance.

Oh, and failure of not enough water lead to domino effect of our effectiveness, and lack of Informing the local PD even if we did communicate with them that we are to be expected.

Reconnect was hard to do, this time around we got something lulzy to work with.

Anyone have that image macro with a large camera that says

"BEHOLD OTVIII!!!"

Vancouver, Canada here....

I'd say that the downstat was a disappointment for April 12, however we did distribute ALL of our flyers. That being said:

* More flyers needed, with more variety focusing on different matters

* Fail on bigoted people. We had a few people condemning the religion too which scared away a lost of public and incited some hatred for intolerance

* Singular yelling. We had a few people shouting out lengthy opinions to cars stopped at the light or people walking by... Made us look a little nutters. We must use our inside Outside voice!

* Coverage: Fairly good, the only people who walked by without a flyer or pamphlet either denied one or was a Scilon. We covered 3 of 4 corners very well, however that last one could've used around 5-10 more people. This ties in with needing more people.

* Stamina: People were running out of steam despite cookies and water. A good solution (really helped!) that was developed from a miniraid we held was small groups would go to a local Starbucks and sit down, eat some real food, use the washrooms. If people paid in advance, the groups could do some runs with the food.

* Signage: We had some kick ass signs! But not enough, and some could be set-up/propped up on their owns if people got tired / cold hands

* Dancing: Yeah I was a part of it. Dancing, while fun, caused a large WTF factor with passer-bys. Limit dancing to camcorders to annoy Scilons GIVEN that there is someone else to explain what the hell we are doing and divie out some flyers.

* Memes: We had a low meme count, but one sign said "Sage fair game"... The general public doesn't know about Saging ;)

* Acidic behaviour to Scilons: Despite them as the target, they view us as haters to their religion. The attitude doesn't help.

Thats all I can sum it.

No placards on sticks. I was wearing a placard, and another was holding a recycled pizza box, but we couldn't be seen by double-decker-dudes.

No web adresses on placards. I'm thinking "xenu.net read learn understand" on a really long stick for double deckers next time.

No masks - we were all using bandanas. It didn't look like the same group as Feb or March. Got mask now though.

Out of Termtime - no students. We'll be having the students back next time, won't be so lonely.

At one protest, we ended up jamming a whole sidewalk corner up because there was pizza and cake at it. I can't blame the hungry masses, but how about we line up along the building from now on so we don't impede traffic?
