I actually keep an LED flashlight on me just in case I get caught without face protection. For most ordinary cameras (i think) if you hold a bright flashlight right in front of your face it will appear as a big spot of light and hide your face. A van to hold supplies would be awesome if someone's willling to risk it (and pay for it). They might be able to still get your plate number and track it through the rental car company if they want. |

Re: Battle Creek, MI
HELLO fello Anons.
I feel like a complete tool, I have been posting over in the MIDWEST forum waiting for replies. Had no Idea you guys were over here on the East Side posting. I made a simple video for May 10th. Here is the link. I hope you enjoy it. Im glad to see alot of action being planned for May 10th. I will be there GF mask and all, for another EPIC WIN for Anonymous! Sence I have been doing this in Milwalkee in Feb and March, (I missed April) Do you guys Rick ROLL? Have a way to play music...I saw your videos and they looked like you had fun, although an arrest. Oh and on the EPIC WIN side of life, we will be blessed with a few fellow YOOPERS comeing down to join us on the 10th. They have been going to Milwalkee, (From Escanaba) for the first 3 major protests, but I have convinced 2-3 to join us in BC, this will be my first BC one too. EXPECT US! Edit PS- One of us already called the BC Police Dept. to give them a courtasy heads up, (we did this in milwalkee everytime) THE BCPD, said thank you, and that they please with how peaceful thigns were in APril, (no comment on march lulz) |

We've been in touch with them, don't worry. Hopefully Beruit will be able to rejoin us soon.

Re: Battle Creek, MI
maybe asking the question will do me more harm than good, but...I'm going to ask anyway.
I really do understand the need to question the intentions of newcomers. Am I a spy or a regular person who agrees with the protests. So while I know there is no set rules, because if there were then the Scientolgists would do them and get on the inside, but.... on the other hand what does it take to earn the trust of others? I would like to come to the BC event from GR and show my support and hope I will be welcomed. |

No, not really. Your best bet is to get onto IRC. Some of the vets will test you before divulging any info.

Second, you should already be using Mozilla Firefox as a browser--have you tried using the ChatZilla IRC client? I've never had a problem with it, been using it for months. Make sure your software is all updated too. Also, for a full list of IRC clients, check this out. Hope this helps. |

Re: Battle Creek, MI
Flyer raid/handout @ WMU w/ rocketshoez was a success. People were generally receptive; we walked around campus and gave flyers to ppl we saw, being polite and asking "would you like a flyer?" seemed to work well. In fact, one person I gave a flyer to asked to see what it was first, I showed him (it had Cult of Scientology in big letters), and he said yeah, I'll definitely take that one. So we had good luck, it was nice and sunny, and people were outside enjoying the day (or not enjoying it, b/c of finals); a great opportunity to spread our message. We should do this again, and for other anons at school, take a break from exams and hand some flyers out to people. I advise you to not wear masks; yeah, its a good idea during protests, but it will probably seek too much attention (from security, cops, etc) walking around campus. Also, thanks to rocketshoez for the idea of stapling a pack of flyers together with an "eye-catching" one on the top. Great idea, and you can hand it to someone who might not have gotten interested after the first one, but really got into the second one, and was convinced to join us by the third.

Re: Battle Creek, MI
Checking in, gentles... once again I'll be in attendance, supporting my fellow Anons and all that jazz. A shame the good Doctor won't be able to join us in BC... luckilly, we'll likely have more. A fellow member of the Twisted Kaiju Theater forums has informed me he'd like to join us... Well, we'll wait and see.
Meet up prior at 11, face-off at noon. No suit for me- I don't own a suit and I honestly prefer something a little less generic- shielding my face and identity while still maintaining a sense of individuality... herd of cats and all that. I will see you rogues on the 10th.

Re: Battle Creek, MI
I am not sure I can make it to the Battle Creek protest.
Much tears. MY place of *real* residence is the Traverse City-ish area (Not stating for obvious reasons.) And I am not sure I could afford the gas money to get down there (Quite a ways for me) So I am thinking of flyer-ing the hell out of TC. Does this sound like a good idea? Any suggestions? (Sorry if this is a bit out of place) |

Fake person was easily identified lols Flyering was good, thanks for coming swmi, was a nice day to walk around. It was funny when people first glance at the flyer and see "Scientology" and get ready to hand it back, but they look again and see "oh, it's anti-Scientology" and they keep it. Campuses are the best places to flyer, the desire to participate in activism of some form usually kicks in around college age. Just walk around the popular areas of campus (food areas, major sidewalks) and offer flyers to people. University students are used to people giving them shit when they walk around so they don't mind too much, and most people will take the flyers. The spring semester at WMU is over now but the summer semester starts soon, we can probably squeeze in another flyering before the 10th. Yes yes flyer packets, you can put all information you want the person to know in one handy package (disconnection, fair game, why the masks, etc) For new people, don't feel like you have to join IRC and get to know us to prove you're not a spy or something, just come to the damn protest. The info you need to know will always be available here (time, place) Last edited by rocketshoez; 05-01-2008 at 11:22 AM. Reason: spelling lols i was flying around campus |

Re: Battle Creek, MI
I live in G.R. well, Allendale actually and I'm looking to hit the B.C. protest. Can I catch a ride down with someone? I've never done an anon protest before but I got to watching xenutv1 (when it was still up) and I got sucked in. It'd help to hook up with some people who already know the ropes. PM me and you can interrogate me to your hearts content if need be. I'm legit.

Re: Battle Creek, MI
Also if for some reason I can't hitch a ride where are we meeting and does anyone in the G.R. area want to ride down with me. It seems like an awful damn waste of fuel to just cruise myself down there. Co$ has plenty of money but I definitely don't.
