New Haven, CT
Jeez, I'm just getting to be too active for my own good. Second CT protest thread I've started today.
Anyways, what are we going to do this time around to get more than five people to come? (A concern I've already expressed- sorry to overdo it.) |

Re: New Haven, CT
* Post more fliers -- I'll be the first to admit that I fell short of the amount I posted around campus prior to the 3/15 protest this time (i.e. none), but with school winding down, I'll have a bit more time to devote to posting. Also, those posting on campuses should check with their appropriate administrative body before actually posting; I know that a whole bunch of my fliers were taken down because I didn't consult with the administration.
Also, we should find sympathetic businesses who would be willing to let us post our fliers within their establishment. Check local coffee houses, places run by or heavily frequented by students, (campus) bookstores etc. For example, the few Wesleyan anon could ask the two local coffee houses, Klekolos and Javapalooza, if they could post some fliers in the stores; CCSU students can ask Another Bookstore, etc. * A communal email address to use on the fliers -- the one thing that we're missing is a real point of contact for interested parties. Sure, we have the various enturbulation threads and the wikidot page, but the former is pretty slow moving (in terms of replies), and I doubt that anyone posts on the latter anymore. Also, there's no real point person to contact within the enturbulation threads or email to obtain information from, so that probably warded a few people off. I was thinking that we create a sort of communal email address where the people involved in the previous protests have the password to, and it's this email that we have listed on the fliers we post. From there, we can update/inform prospective protesters, perhaps tackling questions via a regional basis or whatnot. Just my $0.02. |

Re: New Haven, CT
I'm using an e-mail address that I would agree to using as a communal e-mail address. I'll change the password to something we can share in PM's. Also, we can just create a Gmail account for free. ctanonymous@gmail.com or something along those lines, perhaps?
Also, I think that we should be a little more united, and start contacting each other more. At first I thought the wikidot page, but there's no way to contact anybody through that really, it's far from a networking system. It is possible to start a forum for those of us that are part of CT Anon, it's something I wouldn't mind getting on, it's free stuff these days. Say one were to start a forum dedicated to CT Anon, would we be able to get a substantial amount of members willing to remain active throughout the movement? |

Re: New Haven, CT
Ct Anonymous
I've taken it upon myself to make just such a forum. Right now, it's nothing more than a free invisionfree little forum, and I haven't quite got it up and running, but if one or two of you were to register and volunteer to help me out, I could make you guys admins with me. (After all, Anonymous has no leaders, right?) Anyways, that URL would not be a fun one to copypasta onto the fliers, as people would be unwilling to memorize such a drawn out URL. I'm younger than would be convenient, so I don't actually have a credit card, so I can't purchase a domain name, but there IS an option where the forum can be connected to a domain name, so if the guy who owns the New Haven wikidot page would be willing to attach this to his site, or if somebody were to buy a whole new domain name, that would probably make for better accessibility. So yeah, register there, e-mail me at the3lse@gmail.com (and don't worry, that's a separate address I use for Anon stuff) if you want to help out with making this work, and let's get this show on the road. |

Re: New Haven, CT
I'll be there on the 10th, as long as I have gasoline. I wasn't able to make the 4/12 one.
Ill try and get my friend to come to this one, he keeps saying he's going then ditching it. I'll also try to post fliers around my school also, just to try to raise awareness. |

Re: New Haven, CT
If not, you can probably make use of a redirect. Ads though. Those are always the problem.
I'll look into purchasing ctanonymous.org or something similar. |

Re: New Haven, CT
Be careful with that, most schools require a stamp on the original flier before its copied and distributed on the premises, and as close as it may seem to attacking a religion, you may not get permission. I would post it in public places people from your school are likely to go to. For instance, the downtown Post Rd. is right down the street from my high school, so if I were to go on a flier raid, that's where I'd go. It'd reach many more people, and before you do that, you need a point of contact.
Which, again, is one of the points of the forum I created. I urge all CT Anon to join the forum, and we can really start organizing this stuff. We are Legion, right? |

Re: New Haven, CT
I bought www.ctanonymous.org this morning. It's all still pending. If these forums don't take off it can be used as a redirect for the Wiki. It's just a domain though, I didn't buy the hosting packages because I fail at web design. Just a heads up though.

Re: New Haven, CT
Awesome new forum. I registered. I sense good times on the horizon for CT Anon.
Let's make 5/10 the best protest yet! Agree with Lantern on more fliers(I've been, er, inactive in that dept. I admit). I'm not so sure how many people would actually email the communal email address, though, but hey, anything is worth a try! Also, we need some moar protest videos on youtube and whatnot. All them other cities are outdoing us!

Re: New Haven, CT
We decided having a communal address wouldn't be as useful as a website would, which is why we bought ctanonymous.org in order to put on our flyers.

Re: New Haven, CT
NEW HAVEN ROCKS!
![]() so, someone made a thread about how some of the smaller cities and some of the cities who don't get as much recognition as the places with bigger orgs are being slighted. i happen to think ya'll should get more recognition. i want to thank you for organizing the protests in your city. i know that it must be much harder to show up with very few people and protest. every Anonymous protest is important. every anon who protests is vital. every anon who cannot make it to the protests, but who helps in other ways is vital. there is not one of us who is not an integral part of this movement. so, thank you very much for having your protests! day day, AnonMomAnon .

Re: New Haven, CT
Here's the deal with being there... last time, my ride fell through. Depending upon certain circumstances, I could possibly MAYBE make it on May 10th. Unfortunately, that's a pretty big maybe. :/
So I'm probably just gonna print me out some flyers and such, and get to posting them around where I live. And I'll try to be there if at all possible.

Re: New Haven, CT
I was there, planning to attend w/ mask & flyers ready. There was absolutely no one there when I showed up & being alone didn't think it a wise move to hold a solo raid. I'm working in CT temporarily & thought I could help the good fight. I'm glad to see the organization now with the sites. It'll help bring in some on the fence anon.
I will try to be there on the 10th to help, I may have to work though :( |

Re: New Haven, CT
Maybe we should make you sign a billion-year contract. It worked for the Sea Org, right? LAWLZ
Anyways, if you guys really want to get the lowdown, as we'll start planning things out, calculating pre-game numbers, and organizing CAKE during the week. Go to ctanonymous.org for info and the link to the forum. |

Aloha CT Anons!!!!
I'll be up in Hartford for a concert the weekend of the June protests. From what I've gathered at the CTanon website is that we're allowed to fully cover our face with a GF mask, y/n? How large were the crowds for the 3 protests? Excited but a little apprehensive about going from a huge crowd of people to a smaller one, is all. |
